I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks Tony. I went out for short walk earlier and popped in Tesco. Ended up picking up a box of 6 mini Krispy Kreme Donuts. I put them in my backpack and had forget all about them till I read your post. Thank You.
You're very welcome - Lee Hoos brought in a huge box of them for that final meeting. I was once in a meeting with Dave Baldwin when I said Lee was the best chief exec we'd ever had because of the Krispy Kremes. "Are you that easily bought," Dave said. "Absolutely," I replied. :D

Do you think Rigg will be let go? And if so, will we replace him with a like for like or a different strategy?

That would be a shame. Anthony has been a great servant to the club.

There must be a few on here considering applying for it, surely if the club were offered a candidate who knows everything, has all the answers and would do it for a low wage given the resentment shown towards people who make a decent living they would be snapped up on a long term contract.

It is purely speculation on my part, but with Anthony being the Commercial Director it seems fairly plausible if ALK intend to grow the club from a commercial viewpoint.

Anthony's name reminded me of the controversial days of Andrew Watson and Danny Reuben. Many a thread on the message boards of the day about those two.

Presumably Watson never shared his doughnuts?

I doubt Watson would have shared anything to be honest. He’s commercial director at Huddersfield Giants now. Danny Reuben I think went back to rugby league when he left Burnley but he’s head of communications for the England cricket team now.

As others have said the comments on the PPV charge of £15 proved to me that he isn’t good enough for that role. Some decisions shine a light on general competence and a “feel” for the customer base, it was fairly clear to me at that point that the club had gone backwards.

Not his fault of course, one always has to blame the person who recruited him.

He said at the time it was the best of a bunch of sub optimal options. He didnt choose to bring in PPV single handedly.

are you referring to the misleading headline or what Dyche actually said? just checking as the headline is not what Dyche actually said, although he does expand upon the concept of the fee in the interview and accepted that its a possibility for which he could (at the time of the interview) see "no big problem with it".

Makes far more sense though to read a headline and make your mind up on something without reading the article in full.

He would have been far wiser to say that if it was free and on a channel everybody had someone would complain if they didn't get a choice of beers, chilled and delivered free of charge 10 minutes prior to kick off.

No I read the article and came to my conclusion based on what Dyche said in that he saw no problem with it.

Which is fine. I'm not a massive contributor on here but I'm not one of these that will get into an argument with someone for having a different opinion.

I felt, given the current climate, given a lot of people have been struggling it was a daft comment to come out with from the manager of our club. Plenty of people will agree with me, plenty wont

I'd say nicely worded - if he was leaving of his own accord he'd be serving notice as previous CEOs have done. Be assured, there was no jumping.

Whilst I didn't achieve much that was worthwhile during my working career, I did oversee the construction of the UK's first Krispy Kreme shop; it was inside the Harrods Department Store in Knightsbridge; I guess that only comes third though, as I also built the UK's first two Hooters restaurants (Nottingham & Birmingham) too.

They're bloody good though.

I'd like to blame Krispy Kreme for me being diabetic and for many of my heath conditions but the truth be told I had many of those before KK's hit our shores :)

What really doesn't help the blood sugars is I've to pass a stockist on my way into the office everyday :( It's far too tempting.

They started to become a regular feature of our long away trips but in the end my diabetes forced me to pull out. It's hard watching others eat them.

Got to admit those look good. It must be hard for people who work in offices with a Krispy Kreme stockist nearby. No wonder some of you became diabetic! I could eat at least three of those, to accompany a nice strong cup of Yorkshire tea.

Well unfortunately I was type 1 diabetic at 11 years old so I can't blame it on eating Krispy's.

3??? If you have a box of 12 its difficult not to polish them all all yourself. Whoever comes in for one is momentarily given a long hard stare :)

Football CEO is a funny old job (given the high profile status of the manager/head coach and the greater hands on involvement of the Chair)and not one I would want, speaking as a CEO.
