Pope 7-think some have scored him too low
Lowton 8, some great passes
Tarks 8
Mee 8
Taylor 8*
McNeil 8
Cork 7
Weswood 7
Brownhill 6
Vydra 8
Wood 8

This was the old Burnley, playing some brilliant football and retention. Words must have been said by SD. Thought we just edged it , but a draw was a fair result. Leicester will take points off other clubs at the bottom. Well played the team. Vydra & Wood were a handful, which is why Rodgers was forced to change his team late on in the game

Pope 7- much better than a 5
Lowton 8, some season
Tarks 8 unlucky not to score
Mee 7 must take some blame for the goal
Taylor 7 getting fitter
McNeil 7
Cork 7
Weswood 7
Brownhill 6 please no more freekicks over the top
Vydra 8 pleased for him
Wood 8 A joy to see him have a good game upon his return

Shame no subs deemed good enough, players run into the ground and Arseneal visit at lunchtime on Saturday

Pope - 7 - blame him for the goal if you knew that Iheanacho was hitting that first time

Lowton - 7
Tarkowski - 7 - unlucky not so score
Mee - 7
Taylor - 8

Brownhill -6
Westwood -7
Cork -7
McNeil -7

Wood 8 - also unlucky not to score
Vydra 8

Much much better display. If we play with that intensity there will be no problems. The workrate was good as was the speed with which we got back when they tried to break. A bit unlucky not to have got all 3 points and Schmeichel earned them a point.

It's a point and it counts just as much as the point we got vs WBA but a night and day performance from that game.

Good point and would have been 3 if it wasn’t for Schmeichel. Don’t want to be too negative after a pretty good result against a top 4 side but our midfield quartet aren’t great. Brownhill is obviously out of position but he disappears, McNeil has been under par for a long time now but Westy, currently, is probably playing his poorest football for a long time. His touch and passing are way off the mark. Even though he came close to scoring he actually miss controlled the ball before he shot. Sorry to all you Westy lovers but he’s way off the boil at the moment
Only a 6 for Cork! He was outstanding. Class act.

Yep

If people want to mark him as a right mid or right winger fine. Defensive positional wise again he was poor (imo)

Pope 7- Positioning for their goal was poor. Made a few saves afterwards.
Lowton - 8 Playing well at the moment. Some good balls into the box
Tarks -6 Not as dominating as he used to be
Mee - 6 As with Tarks. They just don't have the opposition in their pockets at the moment
Taylor - 8 Great balls into the box. Left short in defense by McNeil again and did ok
McNeil - 5 Has most of this message board hoodwinked. No end product, Gives the ball away and doesn't cover the LB.
Cork - 7 Did what he does. Solid but not outstanding
Westwood - 6 Poor dead ball delivery. Looks like he needs a break. Shame his shot didn't go in off the post.
Brownhill - 6 Did his best but he is a CM.
Vydra - 7 Good goal. He needed it. Should have been substituted on the hour mark. Contributed nothing after then
Wood - 8 Battled away. He and I both thought that he had scored. Little signs of any understanding with Vydra. Will someone please introduce them to one another.

Overall a much better team performance. We need to continue at that level or improve.

SD needs to be a bit more imaginative with his player selections. When his plan B is to play a player out of position and it doesn't work, he needs a plan C. Brownhill I rate as a CM. He will never be a RM. Play Bardsley at RB and Lowton at RM. Play Brownhill in CM and give Westwood a break. Run a steel cable down the LH sideline and tie a five metre leash around McNeil's neck. You see innovation.

When Leicester made their substitutions they took the initiative and SD didn't react. They could have taken the three points with several opportunities.

Bring on the Gunners. a double would be nice.

Pope 6 nothing to do, hesitated on the goal slightly out of position
Lawton 8 very good again
Talks 7 boots on wrong feet but solid
Mee 7
Taylor 7
Brownhill 6 he's struggling out there, he's literally just running. Not much creativity
Westwood 8
Cork 7
McNeil 5 poor again from dwight, caught numerous times, several missed placed simple passes, 1 decent cross all night.
Wood 8 good game for1st game back unlucky not to score
Vydra 7 took his goal well, on the floor too much and seemingly hurt.

The top had a couple off nearly moments when they tried to work together but the ball or ring was delayed causing an offside or breakdown of the move.
It will come though, really good signs.

A game where we probably deserved to win but a lapse at the back, and the keeper at the other end the MOM, meant it was a far better performance and has eased any worries we might be crumbling, albeit against a disjointed Leicester side.

I'd have took the point before kick off.

SMe again Saturday please

Pope 7 – I don’t think he could do anything about the goal – it was a great strike. Not much to do otherwise
Lowton 7 – very good going forward but it did leave him out of position a couple of times
Tarkowski 7 – shanked a couple of clearances - not quite as assured in the last couple of games
Mee 8 – more solid yesterday. A couple of good passes too
Taylor 8 – Best performance since coming back from injury
McNeil 6 – gives the ball away far too easily. Did well with a couple of crosses
Westwood 7 – workmanlike, unlucky with the shot
Cork 8 – very good performance. Won the ball and moved it quickly
Brownhill 5 – can’t fault the effort, but just doesn’t look to have the ability at this level. Not helped having to play out wide. He isn’t able to create anything going forward because has can’t beat a man. Woeful free kick – hit the target!
Wood 8 – great to have him back. Excellent hold up play. Unlucky not to have scored
Vydra 8 – lots of energy and a well taken goal. Could be a good partnership with Wood.

Much improved performance which I felt deserved 3 points. Leicester scored a great goal, and had a deflection onto the post, but we had by far the better chances. If we continue to play this way, we should pick up easily enough points to survive.

Before I put any scores, the one thing that came to me when thinking about the performance last night was that no 1 player particularly stood out. It was a proper TEAM performance. Fair enough some played better than others, but it felt like the players had had a heart-to-heart and got that bond back together.

Pope 6 - Not sure he could have done much else with the goal tbf
Lowton 8 - Currently our most consistent performer
Tarkowski 6 - looked a bit lost
Mee 5 - Starting to look a bit ropey recently, worrying.
Taylor 7 - did well
Brownhill 6 - works hard, but not even close to being a winger, never puts any crosses in the box
Westwood 6 - starting to look a bit lost, like Mee
Cork 7 - getting back to form.
McNeil 7 - moments of brilliance, but still not quite there, clearly would prefer a no.10 role.
Wood 8 - what a difference. So much of that performance was down to him holding the ball, keeping possession.
Vydra 7 - works hard, probably enjoys playing off Wood.

Gives me a bit of confidence going in to the Arsenal game. I bloody hate everything about Arsenal.
