This season?
Should this season have been written off, with no promotion or relegation, before it started?
Far to late to do it now but it has been so badly affected by covid, postponed games, injuries, etc., these have affected every team but I wouldn't have minded if they had played the games for public entertainment but no points at stake.

Re: This season?
Nope its been brilliant having all these televised games across all the different days. When things get back to normal its going to be tough for us armchair fans who have been spoilt rotten this season

Re: This season?
As far as this "pandemic" goes, I think the season has been as uninterrupted as it could possibly thought to be.
Not including the PL's view on money, TV rights and all that polava... no chance in hell it'll be considered anything than a complete success and all obligations filled to the letter.

Re: This season?
No, would much rather be able to be at the games of course, but having a televised game has at least been something to look forward to.
Have especially enjoyed the Saturday 3pm or 5.30 KO's as can indulge in a beer or 2 while watching the game (don't drink mid-week) almost feels like a proper match day then

Re: This season?
It's all about the money - providing we survive of course - which we should
It's a means to an end - a box ticking exercise. Domestic cup competitions seem a bit pointless without fans but as far as the league is concerned it's a pretty essential gateway into next season when hopefully things will be back nearer to normal

I can't wait until it's over tbh, even though I'm at the other side of the world it's a load of crap without the fans, plus I'm looking forward to the thousand page summer transfer window thread !

No
It has been very strange, but the crap we have had to bear this last year, would have been even worse without football.
It's been the same for most teams, so as long as the playing field stays level, play on
