Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Arsenal
Always want a win, but more than happy with a very good point.
Still finished with 5 shots on target to their 2, but what might have been if we could cross the bloody ball.
A lot of goal mouth scrambles, but when the lads put their bodies on the line like that, it just makes you proud to be Claret.

Wow, what a last two minutes. I thought we were dead and buried there.
Five home draws on the bounce, but I think we'd all have taken two points from the Leicester and Arsenal games.
Onwards and upwards.
C'mon you PL Clarets.

Ben Mee given man of match. He certainly put in some blocks, inc at the death.
Well done skipper.

Lacazette had him booked by screaming like he'd had his leg snapped off following a fairly nothing challenge

I hope all the critics in the first half enjoyed the second as much as I did . Another good point for the cause .

Vydra will, justifiably, feel unfairly subbed. Poor decision from SD.
However, a point closer to safety.

Vydra ran himself into the ground, will be disappointed if Dyche doesn’t refer to his performance after the game

The first half was slow. We weren't at it. The second half was much better. Are fans not allowed to criticise performances now?

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Arsenal
Wow! that was a nervy last 10 minutes, decent point in the end, and we've shown in the Leicester and Arsenal games that we're capable of giving anybody in this league a game when we're at it, great response to the horror defeat at Spurs, and we could have even won both these home games, but 2 points is an ok return considering the calibre of the opposition. And we once again came from behind to earn something out of a match, albeit we were fortunate, but they all count even when they are gifted to you.
And we've now reached the 30 point mark, plus we've only lost 1 in 7 now, and we've got a bit of a break before the Everton game, followed by a welcome respite after a hectic schedule. we aren't safe just yet, but we are creeping to within touching distance, and with Newcastle and Southampton looming after the international break, we could be safe by mid April at this rate.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Arsenal
Mee was decent but don't forget it was his own mistake that forced him to block at the end. He should have just cleared it. On another day the shot that succeeded it would have gone in.
They hit the bar twice. Very lucky to get a draw. Also could have nicked it if it wasn't for Wood missing.

You don’t start slagging off players like Wood and talking about Championship football after only 10 minutes. If people want to be associated with such opinion they don’t have a high opinion of themselves

Indeed that would be the ideal weekend, but if I had to pick only one of them to lose It'd be Fulham, we're starting to create a decent gap to them again, 7 points at this stage of the season is a big mountain for them to climb, let's just hope that Liverpool finally decide to find their home form again tomorrow.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Arsenal
You must rise above this Ian although many have empathy with you. It shouldn’t make you sad, and the yellow card you have been publicly giving is as shocking as a yellow card to Bobby Charlton would have been.IanMcL wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:29 pmMadge appears to be banned and my initial match post re-engineered.
Very sad.
Just to let you all know that I will no longer post the match thread, going forward.
I only did it to continue the HolyCustard legacy. Now the Moerators do no want that, there is little point in continuing the conflict and resulting feeling of victimisation by me. That is not accusing them of anything. They do a fair job of a crap task, so no issues. It is just that it makes me very sad, so no point in continuing to bring on further grief.
I will post when we score again today and Naughty Madge will signal our win. Then that's it.
Come on Burnley Come on Burnley Come on Burnley

Erik Pieters could write a book about his involvement in that game, and he was only on for a short time!

Yes he's sounding like a broken record, am I correct he's faced SD 3 times as Arsenal manager and failed to win any of those games, that might be why he's trying to deflect from his and his teams recent shortcomings against the Clarets just a thought.
