Pope 6 - oops
Lowton 6 - oops, but still a good passer of the ball.
Tarkowski 8 - Looked strong
Mee 9 - Excellent.
Taylor 7 - hope he's ok, my heart can't take too much of Erik!! :-)
Guðmundsson 6 - quiet
Westwood 7 - worked hard.
Brownhill 7 - I like him in midfield, he covers the entire pitch
McNeil 7- good moments
Wood 9 - What a difference he makes to everything we do...
Vydra 8 - looking better each game.

Pieters 7 - very difficult to score!
Brady 5 - meh

Really interesting game, Arsenal look very poor, we should have score more in the 2nd half, but we could still have lost that game easily!

Pope 6 - his body language suggested he knew he should have done better with the goal . Otherwise stayed alert even though he didn’t have a lot to do.
Lowton 7 - very tough mentally . Arsenal’s main danger came down his side in the first half but he didn’t let that affect his game and contributed well to a very good team performance in the second half.
Tarkowski 8 - I was impressed by his performance today , in front of Southgate . It won’t have done his England chances any harm. Distribution stood out a well as his all round solid game. Once he starts a game well , a good performance usually follows.
Mee 8 - this player literally throws himself into a game and today was no exception . I lost count of the number of long headed clearances him and his central partner did today .
Taylor 7 - The injury is a blow because the game showed he is getting back to his best. Sakacis highly rated but had to resort to fouling Charlie today so much was he frustrated by Taylor’s dominance over him.
Gudmundsson 6 - Arsenal are good opponents and dominated in the first half when he was finding his feet again. Steady away.
Westwood 7 - Strong second half and able to make himself available to keep moves going.
Brownhill 7 - Got nearer our opponents more today , he will naturally gain more confidence the more he gets in and around the opposition penalty box and take on more shots rather than pass opportunities on
McNeil 6 - best part of his game was the defensive work he put in during the last 10 mins when Arsenal were pushing for a winner. We know there is so much more going forward that he is not finding at the moment.
Wood 7 - scoring when you are not at your sharpest is not a bad habit no matter how fortunate it is. Credit due for how he has built the best partnership we have seen this season between our strikers . He’s come back well from his lay off
Vydra 9 - truly outstanding in the second half. Helped by faster and more accurate service to the front but also by his great strength and determination . Despite Roy Keane saying anyone who can trap a ball is an international these days Vydra is showing how good a player he is.

Pieters 7 -great last ditch defending and forced a very good save from the Arsenal goalkeeper from a distance he should have had no right to shoot from.
Brady 6 - kept it simple and played his part when he came on

Pope 7 Soft hand for the goal, but consist enough afterwards
Lowton 5 Lack of pace is showing against quality opposition and younger legs
Tarkowski 7 Steady enough
Mee 7 Mr reliable and dependable, dealt with what was thrown at him
Taylor 7 Looked good going forward and attacking play
JBG 6 Needs to be more positive and take a man on, also his crosses and distribution could of been better
Brownhill 5 Over run in a 5 man Arsenal midfield
Westwood 5 As above
McNeil 6 Crosses were woeful today, but stayed positive and moving forward
Wood 7 Worked hard and deserved his goal for being in the right position at the right time
Vydra 9 Liking him more and more as he gets more play time. Energetic and positive, puts defenders on the back foot.

Pieters 7 Good enough and eventful cameo
Brady 5 Not much time, hope he shows his potential before end of season to earn the clarets more points,

Overall a deserved point against the whinging, divas from down south. (Dig aimed at lacazette for his woeful cries after being tackled)

I am not knocking anyone’s ratings. But I do find it interesting that our midfield is getting such low marks despite us dominating most of the game (well after 30mins & aside of the last few) against a side with players worth multi millions. You could even argue that today’s performance (with hindsight before anyone brings up my
over excited ratings after the away game) was better than our win at the emirates where we battled against ten men.

I’m not suggesting we played amazing but we drew with Arsenal and midfielders are getting marks that suggest we were run ragged in that area and Pope and the defence held us together.

Poor first half excellent second. Like others, impressed with Vydra again and good to see Dyche/Woan recognise his efforts when he went off too.

Pope 6 No fault for goal. Most keepers don't get anywhere near that.
Lowton 5 Probably had a harder task than anyone else today. It really showed at times.
Tarkowski 6 Also at fault for goal but offered so much otherwise.
Mee 7 Captain fantastic.
Taylor 6 Was growing into it despite clearly carrying injury.
Guðmundsson 5 Didn't ask enough questions and didn't cover Lowton well enough.
Westwood 5 Shocking in possession and tracking not up to his usual standard.
Brownhill 5 much like Westwood,
McNeil 6 I used to be excited every time Dwight got the ball. Now I don't get excited when he gets it.
Wood 6 Decent hustle but he should have scored.
Vydra 8 MOM Gave his all and showed plenty of quality. That 1,2,3 with Wood was right out the top drawer and should have seen us win the game. His pace gave us something different and his ability to win balls he's second favourite for and use the it with purpose is better than we've seen from a Burnley forward in a decade - if he can add goals he's a £30m player.

Pieters 7 Words fail me. Brilliant though.

Whilst they're a key feature in our play regardless, our midfield was far from its best today. They put their fair share of work in but that's merely par for the course. Both Westwood and Brownhill were both poor in possession and Westwood in particular let men go past him and didn't get near his own very high standards. I expect they'd both be quick to admit it for themselves too.

Most of the team you could take a point off for the first half, and add a point for the second half.

Mee takes mom for his contribution to the result. Vyds played very well, but didn't contribute to the scoreline either end.

Popey 5. It wasn't the easiest of shots to save but he should have got more on it. Very little to do apart from that thanks to his defence, Pepe's miskick and his left-hand post.

Lowts 6. Would give 5.5 but can't. Has to take part of the blame for the goal but was generally solid.
Tarky 6. Solid on the whole. Did well to clear the ball off the line. Part of the rock at the back.
Ben 6 More or less the gritty, body-on-the-line Ben we're used to.
Charlie 6 - Not sure whether he was injured or it was planned for him to come off after an hour. Whatever he really needs a good long break like most of our lads.

JBG 5. Very quiet. Just not fit from what I can see.
Brownhill 5 I haven’t seen enough of him to judge but I’d rather have Jack in CM
Westy 6 Still our best CM player. The closest we have to a playmaker.
Dwight 5 (Would give 5.5 for defensive contribution). Just not the winger he was. He’ll come back.

Vyds 7 (MOM) : Ever the conundrum. Does everything but score. The goal started from his harrying. Set up Chris Wood superbly for his one-on-one. Technically strong, works tirelessly. The big "if" : if he got more goals he would be excellent for us.
The Kiwi 6 : Lucky goal ? Yes, but he had to be there for it to happen. Should he have bagged a seond ? Not sure. Leno was out very quick and made a fine save. Even though he’s not had a great season, his stats are there.

Erik the Viking 6 : Tried to "out-Lowts" Lowts. Ball dipped enormously at the end and fair play to Leno. Got luck IMO with one penalty call, well-defended on the VARRED "penalty". Exactly in the Bardo mode. Top pro. Has his limits but the epitomy of a Dychian defender.
Robbie : 5 Just not there.
