Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Of the relegation teams, are there any players who are worth a bid for?

Andersen , centre half at Fulham . If you’re not aware of the name keep an eye out for him

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
5 years on we'll finally land Robert Snodgrass.
Could do worse tbh, still got a season or two in him. We switched to Brady when we were Gazumped by West Ham in 2017 and watching both this season Snodgrass is still the better player.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Anguissa, Lookman and Anderson at Fulham. Berge, O’Connell or Egan from Sheffield United. Ritchie and Gayle from Newcastle. Trossard from Brighton. Pereira and Gallagher (on loan from Chelsea) from West Brom.
Suggested players who I think would be ‘realistic’ targets for us opposed to the likes of Saint-Maximan and Dunk who would probably move to ‘bigger’ teams or demand huge fees.

Wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 12:07 amWasn't he a bit of a mardarse after playing us recently?
Had a bit of a selective memory about past results if I remember rightly.
He’s a lump of a centre half.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
If we can afford him I’d move Heaven and Earth this summer to sign Lookman on a permanent deal from Leipzig. Would improve us immeasurably and a different type of threat to McNeil. Playing mainly off the left I see at Fulham but more than capable on the right too.

Could but won't.
Lundstram at Sheff Utd would be a good option, only 27 and available on a free in June.

Joe Linton - should be able to snap him up for the 40 mill
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
I think Gallagher who is currently on loan at West Brom could do a very good job for us on the right hand side. Looks tidy on the ball and albeit quite small he looks to have good strength. Looked good at Charlton last season also.
If we stay up of course...

David McGoldrick from the Blades always impresses me, I think he could fit in with us.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
There will be a few I would imagine who will fit in with what we do and how we do it... but as usual it will come down to who’s left after everyone else has picked the bones. Those who are coming up will invariably have a better shot at getting one or two from the relegated teams than us.... unless something has drastically changed with us.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Trossard from Brighton
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Joelinton and Gayle
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Lundstram could "beef" up midfield
Egan could be the replacement for Mee (who people seem to forget is in the same contract situation as Tarks)
Gallagher could work wide right or cm
The young left back Robinson looks a decent prospect at Fulham
Ajayi or Andersen could replace Tarkowski
The likes of Lookman and Berge are way out of our financial league

What’s that little right back at Brighton called? He looked superb earlier in the season when I watched a few of their games.
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Tariq Lamptey. No chance of that one he's getting linked with the big boys.djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:00 amWhat’s that little right back at Brighton called? He looked superb earlier in the season when I watched a few of their games.

A thread to worry about when we’ve a couple more wins.
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
If, a big if; Brighton went down. Bissouma but think other clubs would be in for him. Berge at Utd is a Dyche type midfielder.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
I don't think clubs getting relegated, are desperate to balance the books as they once were. Common sense finally taking hold. But it means there won't be any bargains to be had, and unless the player himself pushes for the move, they aren't likely to happen.
We do need a replacement for Tarks, I don't think Dunne or Long are ready to fill his boots yet. Dunk would be ideal but I don't think Brighton will drop.
I like Egan at Sheff U, but he's missed a few games this season with injuries, and the last thing we need is another sick note.

Berge at Sheffield United, looked great last season but haven’t seen much of him this year.

You're obviously on a wind up with that one.
Over rated show pony on stupid wages.
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
They paid over £25m for him and he has looked good, so forget any chance of us going in for himJambounchained wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:30 amBerge at Sheffield United, looked great last season but haven’t seen much of him this year.
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
When I've seen them I've thought Joachim Andersen and Okay Yokuslu are decent although both are on loan.

Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
I’d take loftus cheek in a heartbeat at 25 another on loan but Chelsea probably wouldn’t sanction a full move, I think he appears to be permanently loaned out or on the fringes when he returns.

Reed and Maja (Fulham and Bordeaux)
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Not sure about him but I wouldn’t mind that Hendricks fellow
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Seconded don't think we could afford him tbh or that Chelsea would let him leave, but would be a great aquisitionClaretMat wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 6:59 amI think Gallagher who is currently on loan at West Brom could do a very good job for us on the right hand side. Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
listening to what the Sheff Utd fans say about him, general consensus is he had a 6 month purple patch and has been bang average the rest of the time, difficult for us to say either way really.
I'm another in the Anderson from Fulham camp, he's looked more than capable
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
That fat bloke who watches West Brom from the touchline, chews lots of gum, name alludes me would be a cracking bouncer in.the hospitality suites.
Re: Relegation fodder - anyone worth taking?
Though given that Fulham have beaten Liverpool today and are just four points behind us with a better goal difference, Lookman may well not be going anywhere.

If Pope goes I’d take Johnstone from West Brom.
