Wonderful performance and a vital three points. Very, very happy. Merseyside punishment!

Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
The bed wetters who still thought we could drop despite our fixtures and how well we played against Leicester and Arsenal can breathe out now.
Another great performance and some scintillating football first half. McNeil and Vydra made us tick and credit to Brownhill for a superb, lung busting shift in midfield - thought he was outstanding.

Beforehand I thought a scabby point was about all we could hope for, but we played really well and could have scored more. Vydra really is making a difference to the way we play and the threat we pose. well done the lads.

Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
Best game of the season-two halves and two different class performances
Every player had a good game.
Special mention for two players who don’t always catch the eye: Brownhill & Pieters.
MOM: Dwight & Mee

Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
Great team performance. For all the money Everton have spent we made them look so poor in the first half, then defended our lead well in the second half. Great result guys-could easily have been 4-1

Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
Huge 3 points just about guarantees survival at this level for another season.
I've been doing windows update all day, so I only had to bear the last 15 minutes, bleeding nerve-shredding though.
However it sounds like we played well in the 1st half, and then managed to keep them at bay in the 2nd.

Fabulous, well deserved , result , considering the first penalty appeal. Think Vyds was , again unlucky to be subbed at the end.
Well done the lads.

Great stuff
Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
A big shout out to every player on that pith in a Burnley shirt today...
Vydra worked his socks off and deserved a goal...
Wood was outstanding...
McNeil worldy...
Guddy running the channels...
Westy his usual solid self...
Brownhill showing why he us covetted by so many...
Mee and Tarka solid as usual...
Lowts and Pieters worked bloody hard...
Popey stopping most things...
Both Brady and Jay Rod doing the right things coming on as Subs...
Cannot whinge about anything ...
2 cracking goals ... and 3 cracking points to settle the ship going into the break

Much better when we play it on the deck and pass the ball through midfield. All played well today, but Brownhill, McNeil and Vydra outstanding as was Wood.

Our attacking was a joy to witness in, what is, a very low scoring side.

It is a match day experience on the thread and in the same way as there are boo boys on the Turf don’t be surprised at the boo boys on here.
I thought Brady battled hard for the cause when he came on . Great classy performance by the boys.

Absolutely fantastic
Re: Everton v Clarets - Match Thread
Should have had at least 3 with the penalty(ies)!!!
Vydra wood combination seems to get us playing better football in the final third. When we set up to attack we can be good!! I’m still a nervous wreck expecting a dodgy decision against us right until the end.!!

Aye. I think it was fairly obvious that JBG wasn’t contributing as much in the second half as he had in the first.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:24 pmJBG only has an hour in him at the moment. Anyway he did nowt wrong.
Better to not overuse him at this stage, on his way back from injuries and niggles.
Keep him for and playing like he did in the first half and it’ll be a real boost for us.

I haven't seen the goals yet I'll catch them on MOTD later, but if any rival Lowton's at Palace they must have been good.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:26 pmBrilliant, thoroughly deserved three points with one very good goal, and one that was Goal of the Season standard!

Ha ha, yes I apologise for being pedantic. Somehow it irks me when the format isn’t correct. I’ll try and ignore it in future.
Great win today... have a good weekend.
