Nows time to shop
Pretty much safe now. A couple of wins max.
That gives us a good few months start now to plan for next year.
Three good players - couple of wingers and a centre half would be nice.
Suspect Tarkowski will leave. Although I’d happily keep him and risk him going for free the following year tbh.

We need a complete overhaul....todays performance tells you that. A very poor second half!

Re: Nows time to shop
John Egan, Jack O’Connell, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, John Lundstram, Ademola Lookman
Tarkowski to leave with our blessing, Gibson £8m and release Brady who simply isn’t good enough in my humble opinion.
Thanks Alan.

Re: Nows time to shop
We do need fresh blood and quite a few in my
Opinion. This is a huge step towards safety tonight and providing we see it through I’d like to see us be a bit more expansive in the market but not go crazy, (not that I think we will).
One player I’ve liked is Ryan Kent at Rangers but I’m not sure we could afford him, given that they have won the league and they rave about him.

Re: Nows time to shop
So where's the money for this overhaul coming from?
Re: Nows time to shop
Jeff Schlupp on a free, Jack O’Connell from Sheff Utd for circa £10m and Lookman from Leipzig if Fulham don’t stay up.

Tarkowski, Gibson and Sky I’d have thought.
Brady leaving (assuming he does) will be another of our top earners gone to follow on from Lennon, Hendrick and Hart also. I’d have hoped, and certainly even, assumed, that there will be quite a bit of wiggle room available this summer.
There certainly should be - this should be our expectation after signing almost nobody bar Brownhill and Stephens for three years.

Re: Nows time to shop
If Schlupp is on a free and leaving Palace that would be a really good signing. Versatile in being able to cover the whole left hand side, something always useful in a squad like ours.

TBH, the Sky money hasn't been enough to see us through the last couple of seasons in terms of reinvestment in the playing staff.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:52 pmTarkowski, Gibson and Sky I’d have thought.

And I doubt we'd get a like for like replacement for Tarkowski from what we will receive for him and Gibson combined.
