Dwight and favourite goals
Dwight and favourite goals
I have a list of goals I will regularly spend ages rewatching online
Eyres at Wembley
Little v Bristol R
Hyde, Ings and Arfield v Rovers
All the goals in the home semi final v Spurs
The 3 play off 2009 goals
Blake v Man U
Barnes v Wigan
Boyd v Man C
Ward v Chelsea
Jay Rod v Man U
And we now have a new entry. I will be rewatching Dwight make Allan look like a clown for the rest of my life!

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Defour against Bristol City and Man United were brilliant goals...in particularly I would never tire of watching the former
Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Good shout. The latter for me given the standard of opposition but remiss of me to have forgotten both!

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
By an absolute mile, my favourite is Adrian Heath’s goal in the FA Cup away at Chester. Brilliant pass from Eyres, a dream first touch from Inchy..,and then the finish!

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Defour against Hull is my all time favourite, but I never tire of watching Graham Roberts brace of own goals v Spuds
Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Mentioned in the commentary yesterday. The twenty four pass Hendrick goal versus Everton. Showed we could play football and a great finish from Hendrick.

Eyres at Wembley for quality of goal on the big stage but, for me, the sheer ecstasy of seeing Blake lash in a worldie against Man U in our first home PL game, will never be beaten.

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Paul Comstive right footer into the top corner against Hartlepool at the Cricket Field end was a cracker. I think it might have been the Freight Rover Trophy?
Joey Gudjohnsson 30-40 yarder against Preston? “Don’t shoo....yeah!”

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
All 5 at home to Forest in 2009, we had 5 contenders for goal of the season in one game!
More than likely an unpopular opinion but the Ward goal at Chelsea never seemed to stick with me, a good goal, but not a goal to be included with the great goals we have seen over the years.

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Our first home goal on return to top flight in 73 was a peach too.. Casper v Chelsea.. 1-0 win in a night game also.
Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Stanislas and Blake v Blackburn
My two most watched though are probably Barnes v Wigan and Hendrick v Everton, two amazing team goals.

Barnes' last minute winner V Palace is always near the top of these polls for me

Barnes’ late winner in the 3-2 home game against Palace would be on my list.

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Just wish we could have been there to see it live.
I did like the goals against Liverpool when we won 2-0.
McNeil against wolves was a cracker.
Woods header against West Ham that got disallowed unfairly was easily up there. Love a good headed goal.
Glen v Birmingham and Bradford both classics. And the Bristol rovers one.
Francis at Plymouth.
Defour Bristol city.
So many to pick from.
Jay at old Trafford.
When Blake scored at Ewood I wanted to freeze that moment in time.
If I really had to pick one I think it would be Arthur gnohere at deepdale .

A couple of wildcards but Michael Keane’s goals against Brighton and Middlesbrough are up there.

Re: Dwight and favourite goals
By no means the best goal we've scored even that season but Danny Ings against QPR in 2013/14 following a lovely one-two with Vokes is my favourite. Just remember it being the moment the penny dropped that we were a genuine promotion contender.
Re: Dwight and favourite goals
Hoskin's goal v Swansea anyone?
