Some decent jobs being made available for the managerial Merry-go-round for the likes of Eddie Howe, Wilder and so on

Re: Karanka
His spectacular fall from grace since his Boro days when he (and the local rag) had a weird obsession/envious nature towards Burnley has been lovely to see.
Fraud.
Fraud.
Re: Karanka
Whatever happened to Alan Pardew?
One minute touted as future England boss and then gone altogether.
Is he in somewhere exotic like China or Qatar?

I’m saying that they are in the line with their wrist bands, waiting for spotty kid with the bum-fluff beard to pull back the chain.
There’s going to be a few clubs letting their managers go in the next few days now I reckon

Re: Karanka
Are we into silly season again with the managers chop.
I'm sure some of them haven't pulled up roots, but some have done a good job, and others not given the time or the resources to achieve much.
They get well paid, but who'd be a football manager.

Am I alone in reading that first line with the voice/singing of Hugh Cornwall?

Alan Curbishley being another, he was linked with the Burnley job in 2010, he apparently cancelled his interview with us on the day and we’ve never seen him since.

Re: Karanka
Birmingham still to confirm his departure but you can't expect anything too professional from a club that went and appointed this bloke in the first place. Another one in the Marco Silva group to me, leaving me wondering how on earth they keep getting jobs.

They play prettier football than Dyche, that's all that matters to a lot of football fans, including some Burnley ones.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 6:48 pmBirmingham still to confirm his departure but you can't expect anything too professional from a club that went and appointed this bloke in the first place. I work with a spurs fan who said he were happy under Poch being 14th in the league but playing nice football, but he also states when Spurs are on the tele he would rather listen to the game on the radio. Re: Karanka
Former Birmingham player Curtis Woodhouse has said: “Only a matter of time, Karanka absolutely sucks the life out of every team he manages. If his last name was Smith he wouldn’t be getting so many opportunities.”

The only thing good about him being in a job if the hope that at some point someone like Jonathon Ross will pronounce his name. Kawanka.

He never seemed to fully get over that bizarre meltdown/ walk out when they played Charlton.
I know he managed to get them promoted but he just seemed on edge the whole time.

It is a surprising one given the stability now at Charlton and lack of it at Birminghamclaretburns wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:44 pmLee Bowyer resigned from Charlton and expected to be announced new Birmingham manager.

Re: Karanka
Still no news from Birmingham but they were strongly linked with Bowyer. Have to say it's a surprise given what he's gone through there to come out on the right side with what looks like decent ownership.claretburns wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:44 pmLee Bowyer resigned from Charlton and expected to be announced new Birmingham manager.

Dyche and joey Barton had a rather large hand in that meltdown. Fergiesque in its brilliance- I still chuckle about it nowBordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 8:49 amHe never seemed to fully get over that bizarre meltdown/ walk out when they played Charlton.

Re: Karanka
Birmingham have finally confirmed Karanka’s departure at 5:50 and ten minutes later confirmed Lee Bowyer as the new manager.
Re: Karanka
He's been busy. He went to Den Haag where they greeted him and Chris Powell with this lovely banner
It went downhill after that though, culminating in fans equipped with a flipboard breaking into the training ground to give a tactics session.
He was then sacked when the Dutch League was cancelled at the start of the pandemic.
He's now the Technical Director at CSKA Sofia ...
Re: Karanka
At least someone wants him!
