One of those ‘wooah what a finish’ shout out loud moments. Haven’t seen a wow moment like that since yesterday! Cheers Dwight

Re: Lamela
What Westy did when he sent the ball down the line to JayRod late in the game yesterday.
Re: Lamela
Just a bloke kicking a ball into the net. It wasn’t oozing with technique or shooting prowess - he took a chance at some showboating and it payed off

It’s been such a positive attitude from Spurs, I can’t believe they’re losing.

Well McNeil was on for goal of the month for less than 24 hours.

Re: Lamela
That red card seemed to be coming since the second he stepped on to the pitch. Horrible player.

Re: Lamela
Not the best day for Spurs, they throw away the lead to lose the derby, and also lose Son in the process.
Lacazette up to his usual tricks I notice, and what's the story with Aubameyang apparently he was left out for disciplinary reasons.

Re: Lamela
turned up late for the team meeting
On a side note, never ever ever a penalty and an ultra soft red card
Re: Lamela
Not the first time his time keeping has been a problem, apparently, hence him being dropped. No idea how you can get paid so much and make a habit of not turning up on time. It's the most basic thing expected of a footballer.

Re: Lamela
Ridiculous he's earning 350k a week and he can't even be bothered to turn up on time, and given he's the captain it hardly sets an example to his teammates does it.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 6:40 pmturned up late for the team meeting

I haven't seen the pen, but reading the reports it was one which VAR should have overruled, however it was a daft challenge by Sanchez which he didn't have to make, and when you go to ground you're always running the risk of conceding a pen, the red card was soft from what I've read, but again it's stupid to give the ref a decision to make when you already have a yellow card to your name.
Re: Lamela
Aubameyang always gives off the air of thinking he's far too good for Arsenal (probably is, to be honest) but also realises at his age he'll not earn anywhere near as much money anywhere else, so just phones it in every now and again.

Re: Lamela
Looks to me like he got his feet tangled up & toe-ended it in through a crowd of legs. Keeper didn't see it.
It's ok for a freakish, accidental type goal.
Dwight's was another-world better. Real skill & execution.

What am I missing. Why didn’t he just use his right peg? So much easier.

To be fair you have to factor in your body weight into the dynamic calculations. Understandable error.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:21 amHarsh. It's clearly a difficult skill to master.

Re: Lamela
It was more like a move from the Riverdance then a shot ,a fluke that doesn't came anywhere near Dwight's goal of the century.

Re: Lamela
He was fortunate it paid off and missed all the 5/6 players between he and the goal (I know that’s an obvious statement)Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:08 amLooks to me like he got his feet tangled up & toe-ended it in through a crowd of legs. Keeper didn't see it.

If he’d hit the first defender, there would be the “what was he thinking” comments.
With Dwights, it had skill, power and with that bend, it was unstoppable

Of course the challenge had to be made that gave away the penalty.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 6:46 pmRidiculous he's earning 350k a week and he can't even be bothered to turn up on time, and given he's the captain it hardly sets an example to his teammates does it.

Re: Lamela
Lamely is nasty on the pitch. His hand fending is often and better placed in Rugby!
Re: Lamela
Bit disappointed in Lamels's goal, not knowing what a Rabona goal was. Very clever and well taken but McNeils goal was absolute class, beating his man, creating space, shooting without any back swing (giving Pickford less time to react) and perfect placement.
For me McNeils was the better goal because of all those things, Lamela's was just a strike.

Yes I've seen it now on MOTD, and Lacazette was a lucky boy getting a pen for that, even more so considering his fresh air shot, I'm not even sure Sanchez could have got out of the way if he'd wanted to, and it looked to me that Lacazette just run into the defender, and then he went sprawling like he'd been sniped again.
I can just about understand why Michael Oliver gave it in real time, but yet again VAR failed to intervene when it should have.
