Great day/night out. Had no idea that was Barnes' first goal.

The day I finally started to believe we'd go up. We were so 'lucky' to get Barnes in when we did as both Ings and Vokes soon got injured on separate occasions and he stepped in for both.

One of my favourite away games. Great atmosphere and the day 'In our Lancashire home' was brought back into our terrace repertoire.

A song that 7 years later many fans still have problems getting right.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 1:10 pmOne of my favourite away games. Great atmosphere and the day 'In our Lancashire home' was brought back into our terrace repertoire.

Great day, been to Charlton 3 times and had a belting day everytime with 3 wins out of 3. Can't beat a good London away day.

That was a special day both on and off the pitch. We turned in an exceptional performance on the pitch but our fans were something else behind that goal from start to finish.

It was a day that is literally etched on my knees. Those seats bolted onto the terrace at the Valley are something else....has to be the worst away end in the football league for that...uncomfortable is an understatement. Great game and atmosphere mind

It’s bad but is there any less leg room than Old Trafford? There are some really bad ones, particularly where seats have been bolted onto terracing.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 3:09 pmIt was a day that is literally etched on my knees. The LET reports that today also marks the 59th anniversary of the Hapton Valley pit disaster lest we forget

As someone who is taller than six feet tall, I would say that Luton is the worst in the league...it's bordering on painful sitting in their away end. Thankfully, we didn't take too many last time, when we won 3-2, and we were able to spread out a bit more...ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 4:46 pmIt’s bad but is there any less leg room than Old Trafford? I thought of Luton when I was posting the comment about Old Trafford. It's so bad there, last time we went the stewards told us they were happy for us to stand.whentheballmoves wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:34 pmAs someone who is taller than six feet tall, I would say that Luton is the worst in the league...it's bordering on painful sitting in their away end. At least it is a good view at Luton - this was DavetheVicar's seat on the day Spicer went in goal

His next two were pretty important too, the winner on that balmy evening in Barnsley then the opener v Wigan at home. Not a bad signing.

Good lad, Ash.
For me, he reached Clarets Legends Status a while back.

I think it sometimes depends on which row you’re on too and from memory QPR is pretty ropey too. Being 6ft 4 there are a few that are really poor but I have never had bruises on both knees following a match other than the front row at Charlton that day. I was contemplating contacting the club to complain tbh.

7 years blimey Ash has been a great signing at 400k, and if he gets more game time next season he may well break 50 PL goals along with Woody.
It's fair to say he's proven an astute buy, and a great servant to BFC.
