Re: England vs Poland
Do you have fake crowd noise? Ours is just natural sound and you can really hear Pope integrating and communicating with the team from all the way back there
Re: England vs Poland
I wish Sterling would make quicker decisions when he gets in the box.

This.
So long as it is a foul
Re: England vs Poland
I’ve heard it said that watching a game alongside a professional / ex professional player will give a whole new way to look at a game.
I’m sure that there is some truth in this, but if it is the case, why does the punditry, nine time out of ten, offer nothing other than what we all see and think!?

Re: England vs Poland
I think this is the best I've seen from England for a while.
Definite penalty by today's standards, and I thought the trip on Foden was too.
Mount? Tidy player, but I don't really understand why we are loading the left side quite so heavily.

You have misunderstood what I meant.welsbyswife wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 8:36 pmProbably the thing I hate most about modern football punditry. Cheating being labelled as "clever play". No, it's cheating.
Clever play as he pretended to cross it and feigned it as I guess he was then going to knock it ahead of him.
Nothing to do with cheating. I'm not a fan of his cheating in the past, but to anybody that was nothing like it.
Re: England vs Poland
It’s exactly that which stops him being a great player.
He’s definitely improved his game, but getting his head up and making the right decision is an area that he could improve on massively for me.

Re: England vs Poland
Possibly! but Spurs don't play the same way England do, they're more dangerous on the counter attack, and do England really need him in midfield when we have the likes of Foden & Mount to create, and if Kane is going to drop deep fine, but then the midfielders will need to ensure they make the runs beyond for them to be found.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 8:40 pmTop assists this season in the Premier League suggest Kane is just as dangerous dropping deep to help the team score as he is stood in the box

Its like watching a Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em scene when Pope has to deal with a passback
Re: England vs Poland
Pope did fantastic there under pressure caused by ‘baller Stones and they still want to criticise him - there is a media agenda against Pope, I’m certain of it

Only watching this bore fest because Pope is playing.
Anyone who thinks England are going to win a tournament are stark raving. No leaders out there just a team of misfits

Seriously, if they want Pope to be more confident, put Tarkowski in front of him, or better still our whole f@cking back four...!

I am so glad Burnley don’t **** about at the back like that. Just asking for trouble. You have to play to your strengths.

Re: England vs Poland
I blame Southgate. Pope should have gone long but the manager insist that he plays the ball out to the defenders, which puts them under pressure when closed down

Re: England vs Poland
Put him in trouble? That's simply not true, as I suspect you know. Stones was in no trouble whatsoever, all the time in the world and got himself into trouble (as he has plenty of times before), only one person to blame for that.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 9:00 pmPope's ball to Stones was under hit and put him in trouble

just the excuse Southgate needs to bring Prickford back even though it wasn't Popes fault and he had no chance to save it

Re: England vs Poland
How many goals have England given away through this insistence on playing out from the back? Rubbish.
