Hodgson to retire end of season
Dyche to take over from Hodgson
Wilder to replace Dyche
All according to the unreliable BBC

I can't really see Ben Mee being the overlapping centre half.
Re: Hodgson. Dyche. Wilder ?
Wilder was good with what he had, but his signings have been dire... Not a good sign tbh

I think our American owners may have a more 'strategic,' job spec and profile in mind for better or worse. Although their priority will be to keep Dyche.
Roy Keane might fit more closely if they want to mop up the Irish American supporter, and build on the goodwill on the Emerald Isle.

Sincerely hope not.
But when he does go, the successor has a mountain of a job to keep us where we are and follow his reign.
Not sure Wilder is that man. Hasn't shown himself up well this season.

Also says we are plotting a £10m move for Dael Fry (Daily Mail).

Re: Hodgson. Dyche. Wilder ?
Reasons Dyche might leave Burnley:
1. Ageing squad.
2. Lack of transfer funds.
3. Too far from Northampton.
None of those are reasons to join Crystal Palace.

Re: Hodgson. Dyche. Wilder ?
I’d like to think that Dyche would stay for at least one summer to see what the new owners can offer him and the squad in terms or recruitment and backing. Dyche is a huge asset to us and a fantastic manager.

Re: Hodgson. Dyche. Wilder ?
I remember reading something last year by Steve Parish in which mentioned how impressed he was with the way Dyche was going about his work at Burnley, I did think at the time and have mentioned it on here only a few months ago that I think Dyche will be the next Palace Manager and probably at the end of this season. I hope I'm wrong at that he stays, my biggest fear if he leaves is what direction we'll go in. Wilder I'm not sure about, he always comes across as a miserable sod whereas Dyche just ouzes charisma for me.

Is there anymore of a sideways move than SD going to Palace?
Their squad is even older than ours. Zaha looks like he wants to leave, and like us, aren't exactly awash with funds.

Fair play to Roy then who's obviously outmanaged Dyche this season by having Palace up in 12th

Yep, knock 4 pts off out total and see how you fancy the run in but as I said Roy and Palace have performed better.
Also as a friendly bit of advice try not to be so sensitive about peoples views on Burnley cos it isnt healthy for you and youre a good guy

Re: Hodgson. Dyche. Wilder ?
Andros Townshend said yesterday all OOCs have been told no new contracts will be discussed until season end. Or more likely until the new manager has been announced. By then they could all have signed on elsewhere.
SD would go down in my estimation if he took the CP job. I’m fine with him improving himself but not effing Palace, a joke club that’s never won a thing.

Dunno if he'd be so interested now with the amount of work needed, but I suppose it's a fresh challenge.
Every Palace fan I've spoken too would take Dyche in a heartbeat, they feel he's very underrated

Same if the Vile weren't doing so well, the lazy and obvious would badly put 2+2 together and that would still be going strong.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 6:43 pmThe Palace link has been around for ages and never really goes away, and has been alluded to on here numerous times by multiple posters (myself included).

To be honest, I can’t see Roy Keane appealing to anyone in America. I doubt very much he appeals to anyone on his homeland let alone anywhere else.COBBLE wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 4:51 pmI think our American owners may have a more 'strategic,' job spec and profile in mind for better or worse. I think we’re a better club and a bigger pull than Crystal Palace.
They have an even bigger rebuilding job than us to do this summer.
