Good to see Taylor and Cork back on the bench.

Re: Saints v Burnley - Match Day Thread
Interesting selection for Southampton, they have dropped Adams and are starting Redmond. Walcott starts as well. Looks like they think pace and trickery will unlock the Burnley defence.

Re: Saints v Burnley - Match Day Thread
Any idea where Bardo or Benson are at? Seems interesting that we have several academy players on the bench when those two can be in contention. (I recognize that Benson is in the in between.)
Re: Saints v Burnley - Match Day Thread
Don’t think we need benson on the bench, we already have 2 central midfielders on bench in Cork and Stephens

Maybe Beardsley been left out for personal reasons. Hasn't he had a family bereavement.

Looks as though Bardsley isn't available given we've two left backs on the bench and no right backWiscoClaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 11:21 amAny idea where Bardo or Benson are at? Re: Saints v Burnley - Match Day Thread
Another goal from Vyds like his last one at Saints wouldn't go amiss.
I'm going for 2-2 in a pretty open game. (But then I thought Chelsea would win yesterday.)
I suppose it will depend on the scoreline, but I'd like to see Richardson get a few more mins.

Been confirmed that it's because of a family bereavement.Stevebfc40 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 11:33 amMaybe Beardsley been left out for personal reasons. Hasn't he had a family bereavement.
Re: Saints v Burnley - Match Day Thread
Loving the pre-match build up on SKY. The focus on Newcastle is hugely informative. Could this not be had ahead of their game!?

Let’s hope we can prove to Souness that we are not a ‘limited’ bunch of players.

Wow, credit Erik Pieters. Showing again he's no slouch in attack compared to Taylor. What a signing.
