Clarets + Premium
Just announced that that the pay monthly service is being reduced to £1 per month from £4.99.
It’s been a topic of discussion on here but I think that represents excellent value.

Re: Clarets + Premium
I've just now rec'd email:
Welcome to your new and improved Burnley FC account.
You now have full access to all digital points across the club from tickets, retail and the bigger and better Clarets+ video content, your home of exclusive videos, goals & highlights, news & interviews and much, much more.
Follow the link below to start watching.
I've not subscribed to the pay monthly service.
Some things appear to be moving forward.

It certainly looks like the new board are getting the internet side of things sorted. Excellent.

Does anyone know how many subscribe to the current Clarets+? I'd guess not enough.

Re: Clarets + Premium
I would have thought commentary was what would encourage people to subscribe but with every game televised I would think numbers are way down.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 7:51 pmDoes anyone know how many subscribe to the current Clarets+? I'd guess not enough.

Re: Clarets + Premium
Only subscribed for the U23 games.
Apart from that not really much else worth watching/listening to.
This is one area of the club which needs to dramatically improve but fair play to them for lowering the cost.

I subscribed for the commentary on away games originally ... I was going to cancel this season but ... I kept it up for the programme download for home games....ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 8:01 pmI would have thought commentary was what would encourage people to subscribe but with every game televised I would think numbers are way down.

I didn't really mind paying it, TBH. but the U23 coverage wasn't the greatest.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 8:16 pmOnly subscribed for the U23 games.

If they could improve the streaming, and perhaps put the videos on the club site it would be a vast improvement and great value at £1.

Well done BFC.
Re: Clarets + Premium
If the club want to make Burnley FC everybody's favourite under dog they need to put lots of quality free content out, they couldn't do that with the old setup. This is a good compromise. What they could do with now is a fun presenter who can make "viral" content. I'd guess the only person that Alan Pace has met who can do that is Jordan North.
Re: Clarets + Premium
My sub doesn't run out till September so am expecting an email and refund (according to the website)

Re: Clarets + Premium
Just made a purchase from Clarets Store and received an email from same indicating I have Clarets+. I’m not currently a subscriber.
Re: Clarets + Premium
Surely 5 times more fans will sub at £1 rather than 4.99 making the same money
Re: Clarets + Premium
You don't actually need to subscribe now to get the basic package, you get it free as part of the new account. For the £1 subscription you get a few extras such as access to view the U23 home games live.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 5:41 pmJust made a purchase from Clarets Store and received an email from same indicating I have Clarets+. Re: Clarets + Premium
I don't really know what the subs level was for the original player, but even if this ends up loss making vs. the previous economics, I think they are likely taking the view that reach + subscriber data is ultimately more valuable than the marginal money made (in the grand scheme of things) from subs at 4.99.

Re: Clarets + Premium
I think I've paid over £50 to watch 4 under 23 games live... and half the time you can't even follow the action.
Refund in the post?
Actually it might be a bit less than 50
