Ashley Barnes became a Burnley legend. Filling in for the seemly irreplaceable Vokes and Ings in the run in. He stepped up big time!

What a night!

One of many crucial winning goals by Barnes.

A night when you thought we would wallop them after the early goal. Atmosphere in that away end is brilliant.

Great night.

Vokes on crutches “conducting” the away end chanting at the end was a great sight to see.

You cannot beat a balmy Spring evening away game with a huge following. Especially when you win.

I remember them announcing Blackburn had beaten QPR on the tannoy and nobody being quite comfortable with cheering.

I think the thread title should have been seven years ago yesterday

Played on 8th April and we were pleased at the time when Blackburn beat QPR but I seem to recall Derby winning that night to keep it tight.

Think Derby won at Blackpool that night. They were still 11 points behind with five games to play after. Remember us somehow losing to Middlesbrough the Saturday after

I knew Derby had won but they were never catching us.

I was on holiday in Scotland and couldn't go and refused to listen as I was so nervous. I shouted out with delight when I heard the result which kind of brought the pub to a standstill!!!

I have a suspicion the timing might have been linked to Brian Nelson paying his subs to join the Board.

Don't think that Barnes has scored a header since!

One of our most cost-effective signings.
