The Grand national
What's everybody betting on? Fav looks a good thing but we all know how often they lose or fall .. Bristol de Mai and Sub lieutenant for me both each way.

Favourite is a stone well in if it stands up and takes to the fences it’s wins with ease but I won’t be taking 4/1

Re: The Grand national
Bristol de Mai is the absolute class horse of the race but I’m not sure he’ll get the trip unfortunately, and he has too much weight to carry. Kimberlite Candy or Acapella Bourgeois for me.

Re: The Grand national
Being born around 12 miles from Aintree we always bet on the National and actually won on Foinavon when I recalled most of the best fell.I am on Cloth Cap at 13/2 to win
Re: The Grand national
Bet 365 have an offer on where you get 50% of your stake(s) back upto £125 on all win and EW bets paced before 12:00.
It's a cracking offer.
EW is 1/4 odds 5 places and BOG
I'm on
Kimberlite Candy
Bristol de Mai ( class horse, would love it to win, but like myself carrying too much weight I fear )
Potters Corner
The wife and kids have picked a couple each, however gone purely on names and colours, which will probably return more than my researched approach.
Good luck all

Re: The Grand national
5 favourites out of 5 at Aintree today, however knowing the history of the national that won't last.
My dad did a sweepstake at his work and he picked Minellacelebration which is one of the long shots, he knows absolutely nothing about betting or racing, so what's the odds he picks an outsider to romp home.

Re: The Grand national
Well done Rachel Blackmore making history yet again. She is having some year first Cheltenham and now the National.
SPOTY contender I'd wager.

Re: The Grand national
is she British or Irish
also it is an Olympic Year, unlikely things may happen in the Euros, Hamilton might get an 8th title

Re: The Grand national
Well done the jockey. Kept the horse well positioned.
Horse looked like a winner, after the finish! Very good looking horse.

Re: The Grand national
I said contender, I never said she'd win, wasn't Eoin Morgan nominated in 2019 after England won the cricket world cup, and he's certainly Irish.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 5:36 pmis she British or Irish

Got me double bubble on my NAP selection anyway so I'm with her work.

A superb race - and the first time for ages I've actually backed the winner outright.

Great Jockey. Great ride.
Only 'Any second now' had a proper hard luck story. But you need a lot of luck to win this.
