The crazy thing is, some of us will be related to people in this video and not have a clue.
Those from out of town believe us Burnley folk are all related in some way anyway

Yes I’ve watching Ian Mc’s photo collection many times while perusing various topics. It is a great local historical source.

i'm too young for the bob lord era but from what i've read and heard about him i bet he was spitting feathers at those protests.

Especially at the long hair and flared jeans. (You could make a two-man tent with the amount of material in some of them!)

I used to frequent that store back in the day as well, one could find many, many treasures unavailable elsewhere
And yes, apparently it is still alive and well.

The photo of the turntable fire engine, looks like the one kept for years, on the land on Culshaw St, near the corner of Mitella St! of then demolition man Maurice Tate, whose house backed onto the yard. That was in the 50/60s. Some may remember him and his wife Enid driving big American cars, with the reg MET 7.

I can smell the Calor Gas heater just from looking at that photo!
Used to go in there most afternoons on my way home from school when I was about 14/15.

I was at Newcastle Uni so I was immersed in it for 3 years. Newcastle city centre was a no go area for students on a Saturday night.

Was the Tom Paxton one for your grandad?
Re: Old Burnley pictures
No, just part of a eclectic taste in music. I didn’t like to be tied down to fashion. Maybe you should try it.
