Change to my Matchday routine
About now, I'd have walked the dog, completed my ablutions (and his), had two cups of tea and a double expresso, dug out my 1960 replica shirt, polished my 14-hole Docs (only joking), and made sure that my scarf and bobby hat are to hand for a swift departure at 10.30am.
Today, it's all change. I might even watch the match in my Frank Casper slippers, Marlon Beresford dressing gown, and a couple of tinnies to hand.
I can't wait for all this lockdown shoite to come to an end !

Re: Change to my Matchday routine
I had a drive around there last week, just to make sure it was still there. How SAD is that?!

Re: Change to my Matchday routine
I drove to Burnley and walked around the ground last week. Spent a while in the memorial garden. Found it quite moving. Again I suppose I just wanted to reattach with the place.

Re: Change to my Matchday routine
Just out of interest, Ralph, did you prefer your Docs cherry-red or oxblood?
Re: Change to my Matchday routine
I live in Kent and have an insurance policy which explains why I am in a private room - had my other knee done on 25 January age as my work is on hold thought I might as well get them both done. For once an insurance policy that worked. Hope you get a new date soon.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 9:48 amYou must KNOW someone. They've put my knee back indefinitely Hope it has gone well

Or, indeed, black.
Re: Change to my Matchday routine
My mates all had theirs sprayed Silver ... I stuck to Ox-blood.
I was the rebel in our group of mates....

Re: Change to my Matchday routine
Most of my mates went for cherry-red, but I thought it was too gaudy, and likewise preferred oxblood.

If it’s private, I’d be complaining if my room didn’t have skyHB Claret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 9:54 amI live in Kent and have an insurance policy which explains why I am in a private room - had my other knee done on 25 January age as my work is on hold thought I might as well get them both done.
