Commentators were saying dangerous play, so I was asking the question.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 1:17 pmSo what did you mean when you said it would be an indirect free kick if you was not referring to it being dangerous play?

Got what we deserved. We've had so many set pieces and not a single good chance from them. Far too much hoofing up to their centre halves.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Fair enough, in the context of the discussion on this thread I dont believe you but I cant prove that either way so thats that.
I think it was a foul and under the laws of the game I think it was a direct free kick. I can see why a ref could justify dangerous play as an indirect free kick.
Ive no idea what you think or if you even have an opinion so I'll leave it there

Saint maximum
We simply cannot deal with players like him and traore.
How we have thrown this lead away again is beyond me.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Can't back off like that. Shame because we've played well.
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
What are we doing? We seem determined to be in a relegation fight to the end.
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
So so bad. Soon as he picked up the ball you knew we were in trouble. Backing off and backing off. Absolutely rubbish.

Westwood has just been awful today. Needlessly launching it forward. What happened to basics ffs.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Bloody hell fire. We simply have no answer to this Saint Maximin.
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Unbelievable, go to the loo and we 2-1 down
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Tarkowski at fault for that - had several opportunities to tackle him
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
Well game over. Like Southampton, it was good while it lasted.
Re: Saint maximum
We couldnt deal with him in the other game. Knew he’d be the difference if he came on. By far their best player.
Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
The last two games have been a shambles. Just no bottle.

Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Match Day Thread
You can’t throw leads away against **** like Southampton and Newcastle in back to back weeks. Today we have looked a million times better than them from first minute to now. It’s really unlike us to not be able to defend a lead.
