Shock stat

Post by huw.Y.WattfromWare » Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:05 pm

For all our years in the PL putting away the bottom end was a massive plus and point earner for us. This season thank goodness for wins at Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton or we would be in deep trouble.
8 points from 10 games against the others in the bottom 7 and yet we still average over a point a game.

On the other hand. If we beat Fulham and Sheff Utd away it will be 14 points from 12 games and only 4 defeats from those 12 games so not too shabby. You can make statistics mean lots of things.

That's a big "if"

"you can make statistics mean a lot of things"

Correct - just ask Mattster (Mrs Westwood). ;)

True but in the last 4 seasons we have garnered the following:
19-20....26pts
18-19....27pts
17-18....18pts
16-17....19pts
Definitely a step back from what has been one of our strengths.

Disappointed more than aggrieved. These were winnable games.

Yeah, sorry for the post, I think we’re all disappointed losing games that in the past we would have easily seen out

They always say it`s more important to beat the teams around you that are basically in our mini prem league and you should stay up, alas as YWFW as pointed out that hasn`t been quite as successful as in previous seasons but luckily we have plucked some good results from unexpected sources

Not a fan of stats... can make 'em prove almost anything as Whitgord says.

Folk use stats like a drunk uses a lamp-post.... for support rather than illumination.

This is just terrible. As long as Dyche has been in charge we’ve been characterised by resilience to banana skins.

Have teams figured us out? I don’t think so. The issues are entirely on our end.

The issues have been 2 individuals.

Danny Ings.
