No early thread can only mean one result.

Rawtenstall beat all amateur East Lancs in a match notable for some spectacular six hitting by Rawtenstalls pro and Keith Roscoes 1800th Lancashire League wicket.

Good game at Colne. Rammy won by 13 runs. Both pros scored centuries.

Lowerhouse got beat by good tactics looking at the scorecard. Norden played Parry out at just over 2 an over and gave the amateurs a bit of tap.

They probably don't want to chase over 200 that many times with a bowling pro.

Plenty of shrewdies are tipping Norden.

Good to see Colne putting up a good effort. Lenny be proud this morning

Plenty of good sides in that top division and I only look at scorecards. Always get kept up to date on here about the league though.

Great to see so many pro's getting hundreds. I was worried that the standard of professional might have dipped with so many not coming over with what's going on.

Colne could well have beaten Rammy except for a brilliant catch on the boundary edge by Fielding to dismiss the Colne pro and a crazy run out for Walton when he was going well. Catches win matches !!

Interesting that as that is how the card looks I suppose but that’s not really how it played out.

Norden got off to a quick start helped by some early season dropped catches before Lowerhouse managed to get back some control and turned what looked like being 280 into 220.

Chasing, everything seemed to be going well but the pro and Frankie got out in quick succession and we never recovered.

You always raise a smile Lenny.

I see my mate Baz got Smit out but went for a bit of tap.
Looks like Price has been replaced now.

Up the Colne

Like I said earlier in the thread we usually get kept well informed on here.

How did the off field hospitality go? I didn't know if space for 300 would be enough with all your members?
Cricket needs it to work to get finances up.

There was a reasonable sized crowd for Sunday's game but probably only half as many as turned up for the Seconds game on Saturday. The bar takings on Saturday have only been surpassed once and that was the Worsley Cup Final.

They ran out of San Miguel so we drank Manchester Craft Ale, but that ran out on the Sunday. Called it a day when someone suggested Fosters
As said, Saturday was rammed, Sunday was what you’d expect for this time of year.

Zaidi is a top player, I’ve a feeling this season will actually be one of the best for the league, particularly if the crowds keep coming, fingers crossed we get the weather!

Crowd was ok but a lot of members, understandably in my view, stayed away as the restrictions are off putting.

Hopefully we get some sense from the ECB this week and they relax the stupid no spectators rule.

Are the ECB reviewing it? As you say let’s hope common sense prevails.
