Matheus Pereira
I’ve been seriously impressed with this lad this season. If and when WBA go down I would be straight in for him. A quick google suggests he’s on loan from Sporting Lisbon. Just they type of creativity we need.

Re: Matheus Pereira
He signed for WBA permanently in the summer.
I’d love him but you’re talking £30m after his performances this season. I can see him going to Wolves/West Ham/Everton etc - perhaps even Leeds.

Re: Matheus Pereira
He's one of the few West Brom players who looks capable of playing at this level, but sadly he'll be well out of our price range, Shame as he is exactly the type we could do with.

That’s a brilliant signing for them. He is far too good for the championship.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:38 pmHe signed for WBA permanently in the summer.

£7m apparently, bargain.
I like Gallagher too.

Re: Matheus Pereira
We'll be in for Matt Phillips more than likely. Solid pro with a decent attitude and right age for a 2 year contract.

Re: Matheus Pereira
That’s a shame, I thought he might be surplus to requirements given all the attacking talent they have there.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:10 pmTuchel has already said he wants him back at Chelsea next season rather than another loan
I can’t really see him playing a lot of minutes for them. I wonder how he’ll find that after regular game time?

One of the things I’ll be looking at with interest , like many fans. Will there be an American driven policy geared to balance the ages of players we currently have ? Too many around the 30 mark!
Hope there is because we need it !
Matt Phillips ? Aged around the 30 mark

Re: Matheus Pereira
I would be extremely surprised if Gallagher gets any first team minutes for Chelsea next season. Tuchel may be saying that but the reality is that there are a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order and I'm sure the player himself won't want to be getting his minutes playing u23 football after being out on loan and playing weekly for the last two seasons.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:10 pmTuchel has already said he wants him back at Chelsea next season rather than another loan

Would agree but was a couple of weeks ago when it was suggested he wouldn’t be going out on loan again.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:32 pmI would be extremely surprised if Gallagher gets any first team minutes for Chelsea next season. As an aside, have they brought in rules yet that reduce the number of players you can have out on loan at any given time?

Re: Matheus Pereira
Fair point...I'm unsure on that rule. Chelsea do always seem to have a ludicrous number of players out on loan.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:40 pmWould agree but was a couple of weeks ago when it was suggested he wouldn’t be going out on loan again.

I think Chelsea will end up selling Gallagher this summer to be honest. We have been linked previously so I wouldn't be surprised if we were linked once again.
As this is a post about Pereira I don't think we will be able to afford the likes of him. As someone else has pointed out, he cost West Brom £7m last year.....so we are 12 months late on this one. Once flair players like this play in the Premier League over here and do well in a struggling team their price rises too far for us generally speaking.
Re: Matheus Pereira
Gallagher and Maitland Niles have both been excellent for them on loan, suit our system and probably realistic targets who would come to us.

Players who are doing well at other Prenier League teams are beyond our means - it’s not our market

Re: Matheus Pereira
I think there’s got to come a time where Covid catches up with clubs; surely more will start working with what they’ve got than splashing the big fees/wages? I’m sure a lot would like him but not sure how many need an attacking right-sided player more than us? And that’s no disrespect to JBG who is quality, but does have a bad injury record.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:51 pmOnce flair players like this play in the Premier League over here and do well in a struggling team their price rises too far for us generally speaking.
