Given the quality of the opposition it's got to be the Everton game for me, we played well at Wolves, but they were dreadful on the day, whereas Everton really tested us especially in the 2nd half, and we came through that test with flying colours.

Plus Wood and McNeil's strikes were world-class that day to get us the win, so that goes a long way to edging our performance at Goodison out of the two.

Both, superb, but Everton were the better opposition. So the Everton win for me.

We have had a few 2-1 away wins in the premier league, but it's our first 4-0 win away from home.

And it was inches off being 5 with Vydras well taken offside goal.

Wolves. By a mile. They didn’t have a sniff all game and we looked like we’d score every time we went forward.

Everton was good for half an hour. Wolves was good for 90 minutes.

Totally agree. A score of 7-0 would not have flattered us. Pope had one of his quietest ever games. Wolves may have been poor but we made them look poor. They would have been up for this game believe me

I have to say Wolves not just because it was almost a flawless performance - and, as pointed earlier, it could well have been 7-0 - but because it's exactly what we all needed after a long, hard season. If you're going to stave off any real threat of relegation, that was the way to do it.

Everton for me.
Better opposition and they certainly tried harder than Wolves.

Personally, I find it difficult to choose - hence the post.

The first 30 minutes at Goodison was superb, but Chris Wood's hat-trick was on a different level

They're both better for me ;)

Everton.

Better team who also had something to play for.

But both performances were sublime.

Great result at Goodison, but the whole package at Wolves wins it for me. I don't care one jot that Wolves may well have had their eyes on some Mediterranean beach. We were superb from start to finish, were great to watch (very little sign of what is laid at our door most weeks; long ball etc) and clinical in front of goal. Add to that Wood's hat-trick and lay-off for the fourth, Dwight being sharp and reading Traore's lame effort to find a team mate, and being on BBC1 so even the unwashed could watch it in Shadsworth makes it for me :D

It was a lunchtime kick-off. They wouldn't be up for another 3 hours ;)

Wolves for me.

We played really well for a lot of the game and thoroughly deserved the win but Everton did have a spell where they looked like they might get back into it.

Wolves never really got a look in and it's a while since we've looked in such total control of a game for virtually the full 90 minutes.

Won’t be many teams win at Arsenal Liverpool Everton Palace and Wolves in 1 season. Some 15 points that. Tail score 11-1 👏👏👏

Wolves, by some stretch. Probably our most complete ever performance at this level. We totally dominated from start to finish, never looked in the slightest danger of conceding and could have scored more than 4.

Everton were the better opposition but that was a tight game, and one where DCL alone had numerous chances to score in the first half.

I'd have to say both in hindsight.
The Everton win lifted us 7 points ahead of Fulham
and the Wolves win put us 9 ahead.
So equally important but much to admire in both
(McNeiil's goal at Everton and Wood hat trick at Wolves especially)
Performance wise I'd probably say Wolves but not much in it.

We've won 5 games away this season (Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Palace and Wolves)
Scored 11 and conceded 1, I think.

Certainly wouldn't have predicted that and certainly not a bad record.

Wolves due to the sheer dominance. Although hard to say as you can’t be sure how bad wolves were and I wonder what they might have done against other teams on the day?

Pity we couldn't beat the likes of West Brom, Brighton and Newcastle (Oh yeah... and Citeh too ;) )

Wolves. We were totally dominant and looked like a comfortable top half side.
