Re: Hebden Bridge is trending!!!!
Are those the offending books behind?
"the meadow girls" - a story about a couple of land girls, a pure upper class one from a Wiltshire pad who, not knowing that she was a lesbian finds herself falling for the rough charm of a poor London waif whose heart was in the right place but was hotly pursued by all the handsome farm owners.
"the Christmas wedding" - a delightful tale of how newly ordained Patricia Bamford, the first female minister ever dispatched to the Conservative retirement belt village of Upper Virginia's Mound" overcame the many, many prejudices of the local Surrey elite to marry local tory MP Sir St. John Emery-Smyth to a certain Watford striker - the first openly gay footballer - by sneaking the service in on Christmas day while everyone was with their families stuffing the turkey and pulling crackers.
I've not read "a place of execution" though. Can anyone shed light on what that is about?

"Place Of Execution" is by Val McDiarmid is is rather good.
Tells two intertwined stories. One from 1963 about the investigation in to a missing girl, and another from the present day as a reporter writing about the investigation gets curious when the police officer involved doesn't cooperate

It's been busy over the last few months, even with most places being shut.
