If I was in Dyche's position, I'd let him go because we need to move forwards and giving a new contract to an injury prone player isn't moving forwards.

19 league appearances, 1055 mins out of 1710 mins.
1 goal, 1 assist, 3 yellow cards and the dubious honour of being introduced as a sub, having an absolute effing mare and then being hooked again due to injury.

However, he's been unavailable or unused for half the season.

I'd really struggle to justify giving him a new deal.

Got to agree, I think Celtic is the next move for him, he has something about him when he’s fit and he’s not worried about the next injury but it’s few and far between, especially playing at the intensity that we do at times

Burnley FC is not a charity. The number of times I have looked at our bench to see two keepers and 4 or 5 of the U-23's. With a small squad everyone needs to have a good fitness record. I have posted before to estimate per minute played, Brady has cost us around £4000
His wage needs to be sensibly used for a RIGHT footed wide man. We have had 2-3 years to sort this and if we have no short list then Pace needs to make changes in the appropriate department

I think it’s time to say goodbye to Robbie unfortunately, he’s a player with a lot of talent, but if you can’t get him on the pitch it’s not much use. We need to free up his wages, which I assume will be relatively high, and bring in a fresh face.

Couldn't agree more. Looked an excellent signing until the injury at Leicester, then got fit and found McNeil in his way before this string of injuries followed. Real shame too because he was beginning to look really good earlier this season but this achilles injury has been bothering him for some time. Dyche was nursing it so to speak, as he was with JBG's injuries but Brady went off and played in three games for Ireland and worsened it.

For his sake, I hope he can get himself fully fit and get back to playing regularly whether that's with us or elsewhere.

He’s only had that role because of his fitness issues.

Feel really sorry for him, looked a decent player before injury after injury meant he never got a decent run in the side. But I think it’s hard to justify a new contract (unless we can’t afford a replacement!)

Exactly!... And is why it's a risk not having any competition for that position, especially when it is covered by one of our most important players. The same principle applies to injuries.

Say thanks for the memories Robbie, now go and find yourself another club if you can, we desperately need fresh impetus on the right, and he's been an expensive flop I'm afraid taking into account his transfer fee and wages over the time he's been at BFC.

And as others have rightly commented we aren't running a charity here, we're a PL club and we hopefully have ambitions to remain there, or even kick on, and the likes of Robbie aren't the answer, we need to be scouting younger talent which we can develop and perhaps sell on in a year or two.

And for those advocating keeping RB when did he last have a decent run of games, and look a player who could contribute on a regular basis for us, yes he's shown the odd flash of ability, but nowhere near enough to justify offering him a new deal even on reduced terms, we face a big rebuild this summer, and the 1st thing we need to do is clear the deadwood out, and I'm afraid Brady would have to fit into that category on the last 2-3 years stats. Once we've done that then we can start contemplating any incomings, and we'll have a better idea of what wages we can afford with the money saved by offloading some fringe players.

Well since we have a recruitment block, we'll have no choice but to keep him because we simply find it impossible to sign players.

If things are going to change this summer and our recruitment block is lifted, he should be let go and replaced at the earliest opportunity. He just can't do it anymore.

The medics will be able to establish the risk, after a proper recovery. If the keg is too damaged, then the risk would not be worth taking, however, if time heals properly, then he is still a player.

And if your referring to Andersen I think that avenue is firmly shut, he's being heavily linked with a move to West Ham for about £25m.

We might not even get £25m for Tarks, and don't forget a % of that fee goes back to Brentford due to the sell-on clause, plus if you were Andersen and you had the choice of either Burnley or West Ham where would you opt to go?, West Ham can offer him European football, and he's already familiar with living in London, so it's evident to me what his choice would be in that scenario.

Once players such as him become known we're always going to struggle, where we need to improve in our recruitment is picking up the rising stars before they come to prominence. Leicester have shown how it can be done, and this is where we need to up our game in regards to a European scout or two, I know it's not a market we've traditionally shopped in, but that's where the bargains are likely to be found if we look hard enough for them.

Not 100% on the Palace game, but he definitely played wide right at Wolves, and yes he impressed on both occasions. I still have my doubts whether he's a long-term solution to our right side though, I can see him displacing Cork sooner or later and playing in centre mid, so ideally I'd like us to recruit a natural right winger, preferably someone relatively young who we can bring on, who that is I have no idea I'm afraid, but that's down to the club to have the answers, and it's an area we've been lacking in for far too long, and is definitely a position we need to upgrade in the next window, we can't continue to neglect investing in the first XI because eventually it will catch up with us if we continue to ignore the pressing issue.

I think the Fulham goal at Turf Moor ,said it all,when he was on the goal line,and did not even seem bothered,when the ball went in,not the same Robbie Brady,silly stupid fouls etc,to put the team at risk of losing the game,I think his injury at Leicester really affected him with his confidence.

If he told Dyche he wanted a new contract as per the original posters question then he should be laughed out the building.

I thought he took a while to show much, when he first arrived but he began to look a very decent signing until the injury.

Since then, and it’s been a long time hampered by more injuries, there hasn’t been enough to demonstrate either the fitness or quality required.

For me it’s a very easy decision, he needs to move on and hopefully he’ll get fit and do well for another team.
