Surely the game can't go ahead now?
Even if they clear off right now it'll take more than 2 hours to sweep the stadium fully?

Seemed well planned.
Not defending it, but the went in, made their protest then, almost all left. Was it Kean that asked them to go?

Yes. Read they'd planned a protest outside.
Meant the mini invasion seemed well planned. And after protesting, almost all maintained their self control and left.
From the bits I saw, anyway.
Just a small number seemed to cause damage.

Probably posted their season ticket renewals at the same time. 75000 muppets will rock up every game next season to line the Glazer's pockets .

R5 commentators saying there are reports of broadcasting equipment being trashed. If this is indeed the case, then any sympathy I might have had for their cause will quickly vanish.

I couldn't give a toss about today's game and I won't be watching. I'm talking about vandalism. HTH.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 3:24 pmGetting their club back means more than you being able to watch a game.

Re: Todays Football 2/5/21
Do Utd fans only ever engage in meaningful protests when the club appears to be doing ok?
2nd in the league, doing well in Europe etc.
I can't recall mass protests when they were dossing around a few places lower and not in Europe.

United fans have long protested about the Glazers but have never been organized enough, now they are.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 3:44 pmDo Utd fans only ever engage in meaningful protests when the club appears to be doing ok?

I've seen one guy lobbed a camera tripod (no camera on it). I'll agree there is no need for it but the reports of mass vandalism are a nonsense (from everything I've seen I must add). Unfortunately it happens at every club

Re: Todays Football 2/5/21
Some of them protested enough to stop going full stop, and forming their own club to watch.

Protests also outside the Lowry Hotel in Manchester as that is where the players stay prior to a match.

Yeah they've mucked about with scarves etc whilst still attending games etc, some went to follow Fc Utd, but they've always been half hearted about itVegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 3:46 pmUnited fans have long protested about the Glazers but have never been organized enough, now they are.

Re: Todays Football 2/5/21
You can’t help thinking that this lot have made a very poor choice about which club to support...perhaps they should think about clubs like Exeter City or Forest Green Rovers. If not, they will just have to put up with watching some of the best players in the world and occasionally winning major competitions

Re: Todays Football 2/5/21
Fair play to the Manure fans. They’ve had enough of the Glaziers who have drained the club since they took over and now wanted to destroy football. I think all fans need to be behind them and the other 5 clubs.
No need for vandalism but you get them idiots in all walk of life.
There is a similarity to how the Glazier’s funded the take over of Manure to how ALK funded the take over of us but I think there is a massive difference in the people involved...hopefully

Fair play to Uniteds hard core support travelling to Salford from London and the home counties to protest.

Re: Todays Football 2/5/21
Only in Britain can the police and authorities make such a mountain, out of a molehill.
The teams are not in danger, it is a protest against the owners. The crowd were cleared hours ago.
Now game off. We are led by wet idiots.

Well done to the Utd fans who got the game called off today. Real fans matter, not just the armchair variety.
