Easy Bodger boy! - it's Friday eveningtide and I am halfway down a pleasant red. We've got a lovely gentle breeze interspersed with refreshing and welcome showers. The world is mellow and life is sweeter than the ripening apples on my tree.
Peace brother.

You sound chilled, life's good so ignore the nasty rascals trying to make you attend all the games, you will have the last laugh with your laid back approach. Enjoy the rest of your Concorde bottle.

Concorde - wow!!! That takes you back a tad.
Enough on the transfer thread bodge old lad - start a Friday night chat like the old days. Probably last till about 8.30 as got to be up early to sell pudds!
Leave you to come up with with a snappy title something like "Back to the Craic of a Friday night spesh!!"

Oh here we go again.
On paper Lyon's squad is wafer thin.

Never understand comments like this. They’re almost Neanderthal. As if just because you’re going to the match you’re a bigger fan.jackmiggins wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 6:38 pmSorry to be a disappointment. I'm at the Turf tomorrow, are you?
Getting up at 7am 4800 miles away and paying your £5 to watch a crappy feed on the PC probably makes you a bigger fan.

Proper fan debate time.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
If Cornet was coming to Burnley, he would have signed weeks ago. He clearly doesn't fancy it and will wait until the last day of the transfer window hoping (and knowing) someone else will come in for him. We need to move on.

One of them will only play by default because of Pope being injured and are you expecting Collins to be playing for the first team at the start of the season? There must have been at least 2 decent rumours, we’ve signed 2 first team players!
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
That’s not my point! My point is, a rumour that turns out to be true, must be regarded as a decent rumour.

You would love a Q&A with the recruitment team though surely ? they might throw a whole new prospective on things who knows ? they might state they have been banging their heads against a brick wall since june highlighting players left, right and centre that we cant afford or SD does not want. Be interesting to get their version that's for sure.

And they would say sorry can't find any 30+ journeymen that would fit into our wage structure. However Sean about thinking outside the box because for the right winger we ask you to have a look ats6t9a2f3f wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:23 amYou would love a Q&A with the recruitment team though surely ? they might throw a whole new prospective on things who knows ? they might state they have been banging their heads against a brick wall since june highlighting players left, right and centre that we cant afford or SD does not want. I’m sure Derek Riordan could still do a job at 38. Would fit in with the wage structure and might provide good banter for the dressing room.

It's quite obvious Lennon is going to get a 12 month contract by today's team you couldn't make it up

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I hope, if Aaron Lennon has indeed re-joined then the fans will him get behind him , it’s not the players fault. I do think he’d be ok for 1 year as long as we do get a first team winger in as well. We all wanted two proven and tested first teamers in but if this isn’t possible this window then we could do worse than someone who knows the division, the squad, the Dyche way etc. UTC

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Oh yeah it’s absolutely not his fault and by all accounts seems a good lad to have around. But it’s absolutely shambolic from our recruitment and incredibly tedious.
Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
If he has re-joined it will be a bloody disgrace, but hardly a surprise, no doubt the sycophants will still defend the snake oil salesman though.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 2:24 pmI hope, if Aaron Lennon has indeed re-joined then the fans will him get behind him , it’s not the players fault. If he’s fit and Dyche wants him. That’s good enough for me.
Just get behind all the team and we will be fine. One things for sure is that the defensive part of the team is stronger than when we lined up against Leicester last season. No reason to panic when we have the best pound for pound manager in the division. Just enjoy the ride again.

I’m only speculating here but I think we may be keeping him fit and sharp on the chance that we may fail to land our targets , and if that is the case then we offer a Lennon a deal. I may be wrong and he may already be signed on but time will tell.

If Lennon has signed, welcome to him. Better than signing no one, although I hope we have another winger coming in.

So we go for the following wide right players
Young - 36
Albrighton - 31
Lennon - 34
Real evidence of the manager's desire to bring in long term potential talent
