If there is truth in the Championship player I'd be interested to know whether it's O'Brien at Huddersfield. Looks a decent prospect. Breaks up play and brings the ball forward well. Seems a vocal player too. Looks to have a good engine.
Seems Leeds are reluctant to meet his valuation, which at around £8 million is quite low.

Looks like that will be it. At this moment, looks like a very good window. Two players that have the potential to improve our starting 11, one immediately and the other in time. Very good backup brought in for Pope and Lennon helps to add some depth to the squad.

Cornet is an incredible signing but it’s only one player that improves the starting eleven

I doubt we would want 2 good centre halves on the bench with currently just 3 CM's in the squad

And we won't see him in the first 11 for a good while, he has to be "fitness tested" ,"acclimatised" and "assessed"

If he shows half the flair, and speed from his youtube appearances, he will be in the first team very quickly. JBG has started well this season, but I thought yesterday was his worst game so far. It's hard to blame him, with his injury record, but he definitely pulled out of a couple of challenges where it was 50/50.

As has been said there are apparently another couple of possibilities, the issue now is I feel the squad is full and so any incomings would need to be balanced with a players leaving.

We have 23 first team squad members (24 if you include BPF) and this will be topped up with Under 23's.

I would like more quality but some real clever work is needed behind the scenes to make it happen.

I think this notion that we are some sort of super fit outfit has been somewhat disproven by recent performances. As if a Champions League outfit are a bunch of unfit hacks.

If so, I suspect more because he'd already been booked rather than fear of injury.

I have to agree, but I’ve not watched him a lot. Although I think Forest had 14 clean sheets last season, which suggests there’s something I’ve missed.

I’d be quite happy if we shifted one or two of our strikers (not Wood) out and brought in 1 or 2 new replacements.

Cannot see us getting two, to be honest, because I just can’t see us being able to afford two first team quality players.

Prior to Lennon signing, I’d have said a fourth winger were a priority given JBG’s injury concerns but now it’s likely an attacking midfielder in the Christie mould. That Lee looked decent on a free (and young) if we need to reign in the spending.

Roberts would be a smart signing. Good age, Wales international and I believe versatile (right back and right midfield). Swansea apparently need some cash so we might be able to get a good deal...

Remember him scoring for Wales at the Euros, can’t say I’ve seen him for Swansea. We do need a younger right back, probably the second most important signing in the near future after a central midfielder.

Good age, good reputation, international, scores a goal, has a long throw.

Hmm depends which way you look at it. Lowton and Bardsley both getting on and if Roberts is available on the cheap now it could be a good opportunity. Plus I think last season Roberts actually played right wing for most of it.

We were linked to Roberts earlier in the window, he got a bad groin injury in the Euro's and won't be fit for quite some time.

Wonder if there’s a desire to be able to shift to 3-5-2. Still get Dyches preferred 2 strikers but a little bit more control in midfield. Roberts and Cornet may be seen as wing back options and with the addition of Collins.

Presumably may help get his price to a reasonable level if Swansea need the cash but he won’t be featuring for them?

Not as though we’re desperate - I thought Lowts was outstanding yesterday. No goals coming from the right at the moment.

All the initial reports said he'd be out for three months but with any surgery you can always add a few weeks on for set backs and complications.

Mid to late October at the earliest really.
