Strange one with Pope, in that he didn't seem in any distress against Fulham....unless I missed it.

I think if we'd been mathematically safe, he wouldn't have played at Fulham

Not been fit since it happened a few weeks ago but played through it. He'll need to get himself fit for the Euros so I don't expect to see him again this season.

It appears that Nick Pope has been carrying an injury for a few weeks. It explains why we've had 2 keepers on the subs bench. More evidence that Nick Pope has had an injury were the 2 (I think it was) occasions when he punched the ball on Monday night. Most expected it would have been easier to catch. I think he punched because there was a risk that catching would aggravate a shoulder injury, either through another player colliding with him or the arm movement causing more pain and risking him dropping the ball.

We need to make sure that England's number 1 is fit for the Euros... and fit for Burnley next season.

Two punches...when catching would have been expected...by a fit keeper.

It's one he did in a recent match - can't remember which now but it forced him to miss a couple of games.
