Wickets not great here, I’d not fancy chasing more than 180, guess it depends on the reduced others when the rain strikes

Pitch has a lot of water, would need a good hour to clear, I’d be surprised if they get back on

The House tried to take advantage of the weather conditions.

Batting first and getting on with it for a while but then Walsden brought on some spinners and the innings fell apart.
.
12 of the home side were out LBW for a paltry amount.

Hundreds celebrated the localised monsoon at the start of the Walsden innings.

Grown men surfed on the outfield and others cried with joy.

I made it that 5 of them got ducks. The middle order collapsed like a pack of cards. Looking a shadow of the team of the last few years so far.

Looks a great innings when the next highest score in the game was only 12.

Not a bad lad for a Reader.

Did Colne officially lose? The live scorecard says Clitheroe won with 87/2 chasing a DLS target of 104 in 50 overs, but that obviously makes no sense. Did the rain stop for half a minute in the afternoon giving the umpires chance to declare the wicket fit, set Clitheroe a target of less than 87 in the remaining overs, and go straight home without another ball being bowled? Or was it actually a draw?

Would imagine the Colne game is a no result, not enough rovers completed.

I think Lowerhouse had a very competitive score yesterday, it was a spinners paradise and looking round the league there weren’t many games that saw 160 on the board.

I’d imagine it would have depended on getting Gale and the pro early
