Dwight's been lively, Wood has put himself about up front, Lowton has impressed especially 1st half, it's no disgrace losing 3-0 to the likes of Liverpool, and we've kept going for the full 90, ultimately their superior quality told in the end.

I didn’t see the match but tonight was about fans returning. Lot of lovely photos on social media. It will improve the performances. It’s been a sad year but we survived. Hopefully next season, we will all be back. UTC!

We played some decent football tonight but the gap between us and the top 6 is wide. Expect some large defeats whenever we play them, finishing is clinical and we can’t really live with them.

Some excellent performances tonight against the second best team in England when playing as they have done in the last 10 matches or so.

Next season will be better.

No mid season takeover, no covid*, a few signings*, fans back in the ground*, a better rested squad, fewer injuries*

* hopefully

We certainly didn't deserve to be on the end of 3 -0 scoreline.Played good football and if Wood had scored it could have been a different result.

Wood and Brownhill should both have done much better with the chances in the first half. One cleared off the line too in the second.
It was too big a step up for Norris tonight unfortunately.
Liverpool missed a couple of chances early doors but so did we and in truth they got very fortunate in the way their chances presented themselves.
I'd have liked to see Vydra a little earlier, Brownhill did fine but clearly doesnt have that killer instinct around the box.

Couple of dodgy right footed kicks but merge his kicking with the rest of Pope and wow what a keeper

Course we will.

We could have lost 3 nil at Anfield this season but, with a bit of luck and Liverpool not quite firing then we got the 1 nil win. It'll happen again because that's what this game throws up :)

Totally agree. He seems to be playing with a lot of confidence and, once again, he's shown how good he is on the ball. Very good game considering he's a defender and we lost 3 nil.

Nobody is happy with a heavy home defeat, but most people can see the quality Liverpool possess, and are realistic in their expectations.

And so what if it is the worst home record in our history we've not been relegated have we, and come August we'll start again from scratch like everybody else.

The fact remains that the 4 clubs which have scored the fewest goals fill the bottom 4 places.

Yes, we created some very decent chances tonight but failed to take any of them.

I have to be honest and say I thought he was very poor. Gets in to good positions but his final ball is awful.

Of course I hope you're right. But we really are need if a big overhaul and some 'devilment' in the team to complement the likes of Wood and McNeil.and Taylor. We'll see after Pope and Tsrks have gone - to Man U and West Ham respectively.

This is true. Could have had 3 ourselves tonight with a clinical finisher in the side.

And it's been poor for the majority of clubs at home this season.

Everyone in football has been saying the lack of crowds makes a big difference.

Agree totally with that. 3-0 seems like we've been very much second best but we weren't tonight. Wood had a chance, Brownhill had a couple. If one goes in then it's a different game but that word is if and it didn't happen unfortunately.

We played some decent stuff last night, although the result was disappointing. What concerns me is our home form, no win in 10 and a bottom 5 finish does not bode well for next season.

If we don't bring some quality in this summer next season could be a relegation one

No disgrace.
A lot of what if moments, but thats life. Its why the likes of Liverpool are way above us, they convert a lot more of those moments.
Football's a game of fine margins and tonight they were against us.
The downside is they scored 3 from their only 3 shots on target, next season we would be in a relegation fight if we didn't resolve that. But still plenty to be confident about.

Lowton, Mee, Taylor, Brownhill & Wood all had good games.

Thought Thiago was like a rolls royce at times last night, probably the best I have seen him play since arriving in this country
