Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
It will be a relief when the final whistle blows at Bramall Lane.
It's been a horrible season ( with the odd notable highlight) and I'll be glad to see the back of it.
However, I'm looking forward to see how we strengthen the squad.....we need to....during the transfer window, and the way things are going I'm confident that Turf Moor will be back to full capacity for the start of next season.

Agreed. Delighted we stayed up. Dyche worked another miracle....but it’s been really tedious at times.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 1:18 pmIt will be a relief when the final whistle blows at Bramall Lane.

Really has been a hard, tough season and I do think it’s made more difficult with not being there.
We need a decent window now.

Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
Agree its been a tough season which we can hopefully finish on a high, ideal chance given we're visiting the whipping boys of the division.
And our away form has been pretty decent so I'm quietly confident of the 3 points.
But we do need to add that extra quality to enable us to compete more next season.
I wouldn't pay much heed to our dire home form every team has struggled at home this season, and if as seems likely fans can return come August I fully expect a significant uplift in our results at TM.

Everyone else on Sky, we get dumped on BTSport with its poor coverage and awful commentators

6 out of the 20 teams in the Premier League will be on BT Sport.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 8:03 pmEveryone else on Sky, we get dumped on BTSport with its poor coverage and awful commentators

Be really, really glad to put this season to bed.
Without fans, we can be a very ordinary team. With the fans at TM, we can do extraordinary things.

Not been dumped. Sky had the first picks I believe and ours was hardly likely to be in the box office category.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 8:03 pmEveryone else on Sky, we get dumped on BTSport with its poor coverage and awful commentators

Dumped on BT along with Man Utd and the biggest club in the world at home to West Brom, how fragile

I would be interested to hear who you think is any good to listen to on Sky?Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 8:03 pmEveryone else on Sky, we get dumped on BTSport with its poor coverage and awful commentators
Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
What happens with the tv appearance money this season? Presumably it’ll be evenly split between the 20 clubs with every single game having been live? If so we’ll get a lot more than we usually do.

Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
But wasn't the total sum was reduced by negotiation as the product was not as per contract, no fans, dubbed crowd noise etc?

Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
Don’t know about that, but even so, and equal split of a smaller amount may be bigger than the smallest share of the full amount.gawthorpe_view wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 1:19 pmBut wasn't the total sum was reduced by negotiation as the product was not as per contract, no fans, dubbed crowd noise etc?

Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
Interesting question but earlier in the season some were shoved onto PPV. I think in the first seven games only the Spurs game was actually on the broadcast schedule with three others added in the extras and three on PPV.

Efan Ekoku is an excellent summariser on Sky.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 12:37 pmI would be interested to hear who you think is any good to listen to on Sky?
Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
Ah yes, I’d forgotten about that. Still should get a bigger share than normal though, we’re usually 10-12 games behind the bigger clubs.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 1:26 pmInteresting question but earlier in the season some were shoved onto PPV. Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
That is exactly what has happened - I am far from certain as to what our facility fee position is this season - recently the games against West Ham, Fulham, Leeds appear to qualify - not sure about the Liverpool game and have not kept track through the season - which I am frustrated about nowClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 2:18 pmI think they might still have been doing their selections and then throwing the extras in.

Re: BT Sport get season finale at Bramall Lane
It was easy at first because the selections were coming out in two batches (the agreed selections followed by the rest) and then there was the PPV fiasco. For much of the time since though they've all come out together although kick off times were the clue.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 3:02 pmThat is exactly what has happened - I am far from certain as to what our facility fee position is this season - recently the games against West Ham, Fulham, Leeds appear to qualify - not sure about the Liverpool game and have not kept track through the season - which I am frustrated about now
