Avanti
Anyone else trying to get to London from Manchester today? My daughter left Rochdale at 10.30 today to get the 12.15 from Piccadilly to Euston. She is still waiting outside Milton Keynes some 7 hours later. There are a lot of unhappy passengers on that train !

It will get there in the future (at some point) so that statement is probably fairly accurate!!

Make sure she claims for delay repay mate - she should get her full fare (for that leg) refunded. If she booked direct with Avanti, she should get an automatic refund, otherwise she can fill out a form here - https://www.avantiwestcoast.co.uk/help- ... elay-repay
I work for Network Rail, and this is one of the track-side power units. It's not my area of expertise but apparently the 25,000 volts that power the overhead lines found their way back to one of these boxes and totally fried the circuits (which are designed to handle about 100 volts.

Re: Avanti
Thanks for the info MKC I think she is in the process of reclaiming the full fare.

Good stuff. Was absolutely horrendous on Friday and I'd certainly expect getting everything back.Claretforshaw wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 12:57 pmThanks for the info MKC I think she is in the process of reclaiming the full fare.
