Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Looks to be on the cards.
Let’s hope Pace gets Dyches signature on the contract ASAP.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Can’t see Everton fans accepting Dyche after such a high profile manager.
Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Can't see Everton as a club accepting dyche. Not the standard required.

They’ve not progressed as much as they thought they would under Ancelotti but I doubt Everton would move for a Dyche type manager if they did lose Ancelotti.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 9:37 pmQuite a few Everton fans not happy with Ancelotti defensive football.
Dyches style wouldn't win them over.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Would be a strange move for Ancelotti.
If they weren't willing to back a manager who led them to 3 CL trophies, they're not likely to sufficiently back Ancelotti.
They need a lot of work.
Ancelotti has a project at Everton, that's beginning to take shape as shown by the great start to the season.
Yes they tailed off, but the aim for next season is to improve again and their sqaud was disjointed anyway.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Everton have some decent fans but also some of the most deluded in the country.
1 major trophy the last 30 years and some of them still think they are the team of the mid 80s. The simple fact as already stated that Dyche wouldn't be their type this despite non of Ancelotti, Silva, Koeman or Martinez getting close to the job Moyes did

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
I don't see why people think Dyche is just a defensive coach. He's shown when he has better players he can play better football AND get more points.
With the talent at Everton I reckon he could do well given time - another key factor.

Dyche, quite rightly, understands you need to be organised defensively. That doesn’t make him a defensive coach.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Everton are awash momentarily with some alleged dodgy money and with not being in the champions league may find the new stadium a millstone around their neck, I doubt Dyche would be that tempted.
Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Everton (wrongly) probably wouldn’t be interested in Dyche but I’m sure Dyche would be interested in Everton.
They’re a huge club, the very definition of a sleeping giant.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Dyche needs to win a cup if he wants to get a job where clubs want to win things. He's proved he can stay up with a limited budget and have a season in the Europa league. But ultimately we didn't make the group stages.
If Ancelotti goes to Real Madrid then out of the last 6 managers they have had. One will be at Real Madrid, one at Barca and one managing Belgium.

Looks like it's a done deal according to journalists on twitter.
Moyes, who is yet to sign his new deal at West Ham could be the favourite for Everton. Or maybe Nuno?

Dyche is really far down the list. Surprised at this, thought they were interested in him previously.

Absolutely agree. Sadly, the majority fan mindset of being a defensive coach is likely to hasten his departure for fear of being stereotyped as such.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 11:59 amDyche, quite rightly, understands you need to be organised defensively. Dyche is a brilliant manager who rightly should be considered for a next step job. Everton would be an ideal destination.

Ancelotti jumping ship back to a club that has already disposed of him once shows there's absolutely no loyalty in football, it's all about who's paying the most €€€.
It weren't long ago he were giving it the big en that Everton were going to challenge for the title next season.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
So much for CA building a project at Goodison, you do wonder whether that gig proved tougher than he initially thought, and now RM have come calling it's an easy exit for him to take.
Ancelotti was so good at Everton that Burnley took 4 points off them this season, and arguably it should have been 6.
What is it about Real that causes them to keep rehiring managers, first Zidane, now Ancelotti, at this rate they'll be appointing Jose again in a couple of years.

Never as been to be fair, it's far & few between & extremely rare, he's been offered a better job & as you correctly state more dollar, reading snippets on grand old team prior to the departure some weren't exactly enthused about him anyway so if they get the right guy in it might work out well for them.fanzone wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 6:00 pmAncelotti jumping ship back to a club that has already disposed of him once shows there's absolutely no loyalty in football, it's all about who's paying the most €€€.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
Everton are, in my opinion, the perfect team for Dyche to manage and it's presented itself at the perfect time for him.
A definite upward move for Dyche and a no loss situation for Everton. He could keep them in the top half of the PL without trying.
If this doesn't happen now, a forward move away from Burnley will never happen.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
This is shaping up to be a very interesting summer; managerial vacancies at Palace, Wolves, Everton and Spurs. You’d expect lots of them will be clearing out and a lot of transfer activity generally. I think a lot will be surprised at the deals on offer as clubs look to cut their wage bills.
I do think the departure of Mourinho, Ancelotti, Nuno and to an extent the loss of Hodgson’s experience, is a blow to the Prem. I like to see us pitting ourselves against the best managers in world football so I hope they’re all replaced with equal calibre (and not Dyche).

Assuming we keep Dyche, we go into the new season settled, whilst more importantly those other clubs don't and catching some early could lead to us getting more points in the bag.

Kenwright really wanted him when they appointed BFS, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's still an admirer. Luckily I don't think he has so much influence there these days.

Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
WBA also have a managerial vacancy
Re: Ancelotti to Real Madrid
The appointment of Ancelloti did not happen overnight. This probably has been pursued for the last 3/4 weeks. Everton will be well advanced with their plans to replace him. The reported resignation last week of Alan Irvine at West Ham to return north is, I believe, significant. Over the last two seasons Moyes has developed into an excellent coach with a very good eye for first class low cost transfers which will appeal to the Everton board. Whilst Europe beckons for WHU next season which could stretch their playing resources to the limit, I think the longer term picture to develop a consistent top seven team will appeal to Moyes far more. He also resides fairly locally which should also be a further attraction. As has been mentioned by other posters smoke screens will abound to protect preferred targets.
Ancelloti was never quite the same confident individual following the recent burglary at his family home on Merseyside . I suspect that also had something to do with his decision to move now.

Rooney 9/1 for Everton job and SD nowhere ? crazy
Just goes to show that profile goes before an experienced managerial CV. SD would have gone 2 years ago if he had that "eddie howe attacking football / neutering young talent" tattoo but he has not, his prehistoric style if you like is going to label him throughout his whole career - bit like Big Sam, Pullis etc etc. No matter where he goes SD wont get as much appreciated as where he is right now (as long as he does not regularly read this message board after certain defeats !!!) A board that really backs him will test him as he could buy better, more gifted players thus giving him options to play more expansive football - thus if he can adapt become more "than a one hit pony".
Interesting how it all plays out.
