Re: Today's Games
Retrospective fines and suspensions would soon put an end to it. The evidence is there, it just needs to be used.

Thought Hungary did quite well until Portugal scored.
Re: Today's Games
Never a pen. Defender pulled off ball.
Ronaldo offside for his!
You can see who Uefa want!

0-0. Went to water the plants and finished 0-3. Typical!

Some nice tackles going in.
Good to see the Ref not blowing up for the really frivolous ones.

Re: Today's Games
VAR really needs to be used to call refs back to players feigning injury or diving to book them, that was pathetic from Hernandez then trying to get Kimmich sent off.

Re: Today's Games
Decent game so far, but France look like they're in cruise control, and you feel they have another gear or two should they need them.
Kante awesome again, and we seem to say that every week now.
Good referee as well he's tried to let the game flow as much as possible which is pleasing to see.

I’m not writing them off as that would be silly, but Germany look extremely average.

Re: Today's Games
I cant believe Gosens didnt get at least a yellow for the flying leap into the French defender. Leaping with his knees into the defenders neck area with little chance of getting the ball.
I'm old school re what constitutes over vigorous contact but I'd've got a red out there.
Not quite as bad as Schumacher v Battiston but not far off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iODIRK ... rOhrenbaer

Mings & Stones are going to struggle if they come up against Mbappe.

Re: Today's Games
I was only half watching it, Benzama looked off on the intial ball through but Mbappe looked on - was Mbappe offside because they couldn't give it for Benzema first phase surely ?

Re: Today's Games
Superb France in third gear. Germany a long way from the Germany we are used to seeing.
I can see Portugal beating them and they sneak through as a lucky third in group.

Re: Today's Games
Not a great game TBH, France did enough to get over the line, and of the two they look the most likely to go deep in this tournament.
Germany improved 2nd half, but Ally Mccoist got it spot on the Germans were toothless, well apart from Rudiger anyway.

I enjoyed it, I like to see mistakes as opposed to the play-safe technical stuff which so often gets served up.
France have a core of fine players.
I thought Griezeman was outstanding in the second half.

Re: Today's Games
2nd round of group games kick off today, this is when the action should start hotting up.
Finland-Russia a win for the Finns will see them through, and even a draw will probably be enough for them, Russia need the 3 points after their battering off Belgium.
Wales-Turkey big game for both, but especially for Wales who really need a win to have a chance of progressing.
Italy-Switzerland the evening game, the Italians looked mighty impressive on the opening night, so it'll be interesting whether they can maintain those high standards.

Re: Today's Games
Finland-Russia: I suggested to a friend it'd be funny if they blasted some Impaled Nazarene in the ground before the match. They did a whole record about Finland holding off the attempted invasion by Russia. Might add a bit more spice
Re: Today's Games
Finland started well here
