I don't believe that the Waldorf Hotel invented room service in 1930. Are they telling me that no hotel ever had room service before that? Bearing ini mind that in the previous century it would be the norm to leave shoes outside for shining, to have breakfast in bed, to have a maid bring hot water for washing, etc? Give over.
