He's been called up for the ODIs due to the covid outbreak in the England squad.

Are they playing with ten then? Or do they get a replacement?

The lad batting now Muyeye has been drafted in, we had the same problem Parky was called up and we had Hartley come in. They need to be like for like replacements though.

If anyone is interested there is a rerun of last Fridays T20 game at a Headingley on Sky 404. Remind me Bodge, what was the result.

It is a pity but I think that they have lost too much playing time to the weather, although it could have had a massive bearing on Kent's first innings showing. Probably missing the guile of Parkinson as well now.

Don't write this off just yet Darren Stevens gone, 129-6 still 56 adrift, and only the 4 wickets for Lancs to take now to complete a vital victory.

We couldn't get those last two wickets, so it's finished a draw.

Hope you're well lakedistrict !

On to the cricket.

Looks like Jack Leaning has frustrated your Eastbourne lad :D

Let's warm up our voice boxes for tonight's game with a sing song :

In 2011, I don't think we played one game at Old Trafford, due to turning the square round and other works. We lost less time to weather, won more matches and the title outright for the first time since 1934 .... Grr !

Thanks, bodge. Best wishes to you and Karen.

A good backs to the wall display by the Kent batsmen, but the only reason we didn't win was the weather. They should have played it up here, warm sunny and dry for the last two days.

It looks like Yorks and Lancs going through, and of course we avoid each other in the next stage.

See you at Lords!

We could have done with a burst from Jimmy at the end but it was clutching at straws trying to get 10 wickets when they don't have to score any runs.

Unlucky Lancashire ... just come up short in that last innings ... never mind you have an easy match next week starting Sunday 😉 to go back top of the table ... perhaps ... be an interesting week.

Meanwhile must go get changed ... watching tonights little Football match in the pub ... lets hope Southgate showed the lads Kasper Schmeichels pre match presser ...

Can’t understand why they did not declare earlier on the previous night and get a couple of wickets.
Lancashire had runs they did not need and ran out of time

Next week's game is essentially the start of the next stage with half the points from that game and the one earlier at old Trafford carried forward

Easy to say in hindsight, but yes given the weather forecast we probably should have stuck them in for at least half an hour last night, frustrating not to close out this game as we dominated from ball 1.

Why did they shake hands with two overs to spare?

Is that true?
Bizarre if true.
12 balls to get 2 wickets, and pressure building.

They had bowled the minimum 16 in the last hour and had bonus overs as they bowled them quick. When they came down to the last over they could bowl time wise, they knew if they got one wicket the incoming batsman would take the 2 minutes to come in and therefore not have enough time to bowl them out.
