It was years after Common People that I heard the Mecano track but do enjoy watching it for the flamboyant keyboard player.

if you've not seen this its worth a watch. This was live on radio when they had their late night slot in the early days

Edit: They played the two songs on an earlier show (the start section), someone sent it to Jarvis and then he rang in the show live which is the main part of the video

Ann Wilson is one of my all time favourite female vocalists, her voice is incredible. This is an incredible version of one of the classic rock songs, so moving to see Plant with a tear in his eye at the quality of the performance. Nancy Wilson still looks good for her age too, always had a soft spot for her. Can't imagine why.....

For me, this has to be the best post on the thread. First the hugely talented Carole King, and I still regard Tapestry as one of the best albums I ever bought, and then the amazing Aretha and I would not disagree with the ‘Greatest Singer Ever to Draw Breath’ either.
