Weird one! Nobody deserves abuse, penalties can go either way, it's a cruel way to decide a game but the only way. Any sort of abuse is wrong, but the racism on social media right now is abhorrent

There’s a perfect example of why somebody in the run up to a tournament needs to stick to football so as to focus 100%. But racist abuse for any of them is deplorable. They need support not abuse.

Are you really blaming his miss on having an eye on ensuring under privileged children get a meal?

It was an appallingly bad penalty but it was nothing to do with any of the good causes that he’s championed.

He shouldn’t get abuse but light hearted banter about directions to the nearest specsavers wouldn’t go amiss all humans make mistakes at the end of the day we’ve got to laugh about it, dust ourselves down & get on with life,
