Really don't know what to think of us signing an unknown Brazilian, to be honest I would be a bit underwhelmed.

I doubt Dyche knows much if anything about him and its a Alk signing. Never been a fan of out and out wingers they always remind me of a school boy, who play like a headless chicken. He will be in for a shock playing in the Premier league for Burnley where there is more to the game than running with the ball, he will have to put in a proper shift by tracking back and putting a foot in.

I doubt we will see much of him this season he will more than likely put in with the under 23s to learn his trade.
You probably never saw the likes of Willie Morgan, Ralph Coates, Leighton James and Dave Thomas play.
Four of the finest exponents of the wingers trade.

We can’t win with some fans can we

Fans say we should be looking to the foreign market more and trying to find these undiscovered gems

The when it appears we have done, we then get “never heard of him, can’t see him fitting in & playing”
They don't realize that they're the reason nobody wants to come here.

sounds like a good move to bring this lad in. makes for a bit of a story too with signing a Brazilian.
Think the negative comment about his time at Santos are irrelevant. Lot's of players find their feet further down the line. A lot of the games big names were considered duds as youngsters.

Fair play. I actually haven’t a clue who this guy is. I would like some clarification from those in the know on the potential work permit issue though? He isn’t a proven international or signing for big money, so how do we get around this?

Some wishful updating of Wikipedia has already taken place! It could be true but don’t trust everything you read on Wikipedia (or the internet for that matter!)

Can’t see how anyone can watch this and disagree that he has some talent:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nSiimYzNahc

Obviously won’t be the finished article at €2.5m, and likely inconsistent, but clearly some great technical ability and pace there as attributes to develop. LW so cover for Dwight so not like we need him to be first team-ready.

Hopefully leaves cash available for a big RW signing and doesn’t break the bank if it doesn’t work out.

John Connelly was arguably better than these 4, certainly in terms of goals scored. Got a bagful in 59/60 championship winning season.

Just going off comments about him from Burnley fans in Brazil as well as Santos fans who seem to suggest he is rubbish - plus the fact he’s had 2 assists in 5 years as a winger. If he’s a main signing (over a Cornet/Lookman/Christie) for example then it’s quite concerning. But yeah look forward to seeing what he’s about.

If you go back a page or two on here you will see one and the comments made. Also on Twitter there is a burnley fans in Brazil page so you are horribly wrong unfortunately…
