Just ran through this thread.
I presume the "Welcome to.." isn't finished yet and the rest look fine to me.
Either some of you are having a laugh or you really will moan at anything!
I will continue to be a happy clapper. Any Burnley fan over the age of 21 who isn't happy with our Club's recent history is living in cloud cuckoo land and has clearly no idea how business works.
Unless we lose 2 nil on Saturday of course!

Why are you talking about the clubs recent history on a topic about the stadium though? I don't see anyone claiming to be unhappy with our recent history. Fwiw I don't mind the black paint, basic but looks pretty clean.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 6:59 pmJust ran through this thread.

Fwiw I think it looks great and as above while claret and blue is our colour. Black in this case looks much cleaner and more modern and timeless.

Plenty of tourists/foreign accents about on Harry Potts way before a game these days. Obviously covid makes travel a lot harder for now, but it was definitely noticeable pre covid.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:08 pmI don’t think the 90% of the home crowd that sit in the same stand every game needs a colour code
As for attracting tourists to Turf Moor, good luck with that

Clearly isn't finished yet. It's welcoming everyone from the message board by name starting with Turfytopper.
Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Definitely.
There are plenty of Brits that head off abroad and take in a game at less than well known clubs. I’ve done as much myself whilst on trips with the lads.
There’ll be plenty that do the same when on trips to the UK and not just to the likes of Liverpool and United.

The ''you are just a fan'' line is funny though, most of the complaints about the new owners have been around ticketing, the one thing fans should have access to/information on.
''you are just a fan, you don't deserve to know about ticketing availability''
''you are just a fan, you don't deserve communication on the legend murals even if the SUPPORTERS club did fund them''

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
For many years now the stadium has looked tacky and garrish with doors, gates and walls painted in various shades of claret and blue without actually matching the clubs true colours. Since when has that colour of blue on the outside gates and turnstiles been on the shirts or crest? As morbid as the black looks on the outside its a damn sight better inside instead of the awful claret perimeter walls. The club's looked amateur at best for too long and that to me starts from the management in charge of stadium and facilities.
However this is only my observations and opinion and I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

Yes we have a bit of an interest from Scandinavia I think, don’t know why but they were here without some clever marketing
We’ll attract tourists when we play the big six because of there marketing not ours and we won’t when we play Crystal Palace etc IMO

Looks good.
Finally, the club is being dragged kicking and screaming out of the 20th century, unlike some fans who are determined it will be forever 1987.

Re: New Turf Moor Colour Scheme
Homework about what? should they have run a vote on the colour to use on the external walls and fencing. I imagine the black will be a better background for the player plaques that are going to be re-hung. Why don't we just let these guys run the club without examining every move in minute detail. If it was something major they had disrupted then fine lets protest, but paintwork......BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:16 pmShould have done their homework

Bloody hell it looks better. Much more modern and with the electronic boards everywhere it will all look good. Can’t complain about that. New owners must think is lot are a bloody nightmare... I’ll be happy if we get a decent winger in, never mind if they improve the facilities we use as fans.

9 pages on an unknown third-rate player on the other side of the world who was never going to join us
and 3 pages on the ground's paint scheme.
And some folk wonder why other clubs' fans label us "knuckle-draggers" and the like.
Brilliant, just brilliant.

Not sure about anyone else, but shocking nights sleep thinking about this new colour scheme.
Does anyone think an online petition may help get the place changed back to how it was?
It’s good to enter a new season with momentum but things like this are doing unrepairable damage.
Hope everyone is ok, with all that’s happened.
