Re: Team v Liverpool
Good thinking by Dyche.
If you start a player who can't run, then he won't go out of position.

He did it well at man u last season. Should have come on last Saturday instead of Ash and stood on Bisommas's feet.

Lowton
Tarks
Mee
Taylor
JBG
Westwood
Cork
McNeil
Wood & Barnes
But don't expect the usual free.flowing football across the deck and getting to the byeline.
Dyche will probably opt for a more defensive display with the odd long ball forward, something for the opposition to think about.
Instead of exploiting VVD weakness in the air we will rely on getting around Robertson to roll it into the penalty area.
Should provide an interesting watch.

Shithousing will be on full so definitely Barnes. I hope we can keep it so it doesn't become a cricket score.

Re: Team v Liverpool
The big loss in this is Westwood. We will miss his set piece ability
Re: Team v Liverpool
Why is Westwood out then?

Re: Team v Liverpool
Only 19 players in the training video.
No Westwood or Vydra!
No Westwood or Vydra!
Re: Team v Liverpool
I was going to suggest a 4-5-1 but if Westy is out maybe we'll have to go 4-4-2. Pretty sure Robertson is out with an ankle injury, at least he was. If so it may be worth targeting their left side.
Re: Team v Liverpool
Is Vydra injured as well then maybe.
Re: Team v Liverpool
If Westwood is out and Barnes starts instead of Jay, that means our starting line-up will be numbers 1-11.
Just like the good old days.

I believe we're the only club who has ever fielded a side with numbers 1-11 all playing in the respective positions in the Premier League.

Re: Team v Liverpool
Thank you very much. Same time next week
Re: Team v Liverpool
Where are Westwood and Vydra?
Re: Team v Liverpool
2 keepers? No Vydra
Re: Team v Liverpool
Very retrograde to see Barnes and Wood resuming their first choice partnership. But then what did we all expect.
Re: Team v Liverpool
Can only assume Vydra and Westwood are injured.
Re: Team v Liverpool
Why not put another u23s outfield player on the bench and save the embarrassment of having 2 keepers on the bench on the 2nd game week of a Premier league season. Looks bad.
Re: Team v Liverpool
Is Vydra injured, p1ssed off, in the dog house, or leaving?
Local cricketer? Can you offer anything on that one?

Re: Team v Liverpool
Liverpool's must be embarrassing too. They have two keepers on their bench. Adrian and Kelleher.

Re: Team v Liverpool
No Westwood is a disaster
Re: Team v Liverpool
So who is looking forward to all that defending from the front then?
We might even get to activate from the defensive phase if we're lucky.

Can't understand the logic for either side having 2 goalkeepers on a bench
