17/18 kit with the pin stripes across the chest looked miles better and the sleeves were much better on that one two. Last years Yellow kit with the new sponsor on that we used in the friendlies looked a lot better too.

Like it but as always those big logo's always spoil it for me but apart from that I think its super.
Does anyone know if children's, 6 -9 yr old's have the logo on or not?

Re: Away kit is here
This is the 1982/83 away kit I posted recently that I'd been led to believe was similar to this season's away kit.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 1:26 pmI did stick on a pic of an old 80s away kit recently as a hint. This is so similar and the only but I don’t like is the end of the sleeve.
and the new one

Re: Away kit is here
Having just posted the two together, I think I prefer the wide pin stripes of the new one but much preferred the claret edging from the 1982 shirt
Re: Away kit is here
Looks great to me. The blue on the sleeves looks brilliant and makes sense as there’s so much blue in our current badge vs the old one. Without it the badge would look a bit strange.
Re: Away kit is here
That was effectively a third strip in 82/83, we usually wore the yellow one with the claret and blue stripes on the shoulder.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 1:41 pmThis is the 1982/83 away kit I posted recently that I'd been led to believe was similar to this season's away kit.

The top in the picture is a child’s size, I know because it’s my picture taken back in 2007 when I bought it, never been able to find an adult one.

Re: Away kit is here
I wondered where I'd got the pic. Weirdly, in the days before replica shirts, I had one of those white 82/83 shirts (which I had originally thought were 1983/84).
Re: Away kit is here
Very nice away kit. Best one since 2017/18.
Both our kits this season somewhat resemble our 2017/18 attire with the blue shorts at home and the nice white away kit.

Re: Away kit is here
A very classy shirt, but feel that there is little need for the blue on the sleeves, especially if it is a nod to a previous season’s shirt. Won’t be buying it sadly, due to the sponsor again endorsing gambling.

Blows the home kit away, Similar to the 82-83 kit and the 2017-18 kit but with the stripes vertical as opposed to horizontal

Re: Away kit is here
Apologies if its been covered, had very little time for message-boarding recently, but wasn't it the case that the new owners did not want to have a betting company sponsor, or is Spread Ex some kind of margarine?

Re: Away kit is here
The only thing Pace said was that it would be reviewed. It was and we went with another betting company. At the end of the day, money talks.Cubanclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 3:45 pmApologies if its been covered, had very little time for message-boarding recently, but wasn't it the case that the new owners did not want to have a betting company sponsor, or is Spread Ex some kind of margarine?

Re: Away kit is here
it was on the New Kit 20/21 thread from the moment it was announced (about page 5, I think) dissolved into a stand-off as has become usualCubanclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 3:45 pmApologies if its been covered, had very little time for message-boarding recently, but wasn't it the case that the new owners did not want to have a betting company sponsor, or is Spread Ex some kind of margarine?

Pace said he is hoping to use the next year to get something sorted to move away from gambling on the shirt - though it appears we have a new Asian betting partner Bet Victor (not yet announced) and the new advertising boards at the opening game displayed
Spread Ex
Bet Victor
Bet 365
Bet Way
Uni Bet
so we are still a long way from dropping our relationship with betting companies

Re: Away kit is here
Not bad that. Considering getting one! I will caveat that though, as every time I've bought a shirt since about 1995, we've been relegated that season........ Fortunately that has always been home shirts, so i might break the curse this time round!
Re: Away kit is here
Going to tell the wife to put that on next week's Asda order. 'Going to have to start buttering the toast with Spread-Ex love'.
Wonder how long it'll take her to realise it's not a margarine...
As others have said. Nice shirt. Don't get the blue sleeve.
