Italian Clarets
Italian Clarets
Does such a thing exist? I’ve been living in Florence for over a year now and was just curious to know if there are any other Clarets living in Italy?

It’s not your neck of the woods but I know there at least three clarets in Sorrento. They fly over three or four times a season for matches.

Re: Italian Clarets
It always fascinates me when people live in random places abroad. I visited Florence over the Christmas period in 2016 and even took in a game over there, a fantastic 3-3 draw with Napoli. How are you finding it?
Re: Italian Clarets
My friend Corrine lives in Lecce in the far south east of Italy. She always follows the clarets results.

Re: Italian Clarets
I absolutely love it here. I actually moved out here to sign for a 5th division side but unfortunately COVID cancelled the season, so now i’m just working and enjoying the lifestyle. Looking forward to catching some Serie A games!gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 7:49 amIt always fascinates me when people live in random places abroad. I wonder if it's the same Corinne that I know (her surname begins with P)?
If it is, she went to visit relatives last year before the first lockdown and was unable to return to Blighty until recently.

I saw this news a couple of season ago when searching for games around Florence. Had you been playing the US before that? Let me think of the team in Florence....................

That’s brilliant which side is it that you signed for? I had a great time at the Artimino Franchi.

It's mentioned just above GAND. The side is Porta Romana, 5th tier team from the outskirts of Florence.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 7:30 pmThat’s brilliant which side is it that you signed for? I had a great time at the Artimino Franchi.

Re: Italian Clarets
There was a few Clarets kicking about in Cavriglia, Tuscany.
We bumped into a couple of them just north of Auckland at our last New Zealand Clarets get together.
You can find a video of them on YouTube by typing in ‘Tuscany Clarets’
Not sure how much a few of them knew about what was going on though- or if there are any left!
