Just being interviewed on SSN about Ronaldo transfer. He’s looking well. Not seen him in the media for a long time

Was just about to post something on the transfer thread but didn't think it was transferred specifc.

Did look well and still has his 'girly hair'. Was thinking he was still at Oldham but justread that he is without a club.

Fantastic in the Championship on his day, very inconsistent though.

If Cornet isn't at least ten times better, then we will have wasted our money.

Oldham were his last club but his last start for them was November 2019 and his last appearance a month later as a sub.

I thought he was a good signing-immense skill and control. I know he suffered from asthma which must have had an impact on his fitness

My brother is a handicapped supporter and Chris always took the time to talk to him and even gave his shirt, hair band and shoes when he left.

I always liked him. That team with Eagles, Paterson, Blake, and Elliott put the fear of God into those Championship defences. Ran them ragged and tied them in knots.

A few good reasons

1 Younger than Eagles
2 Better player than Eagles
3 Still playing football

Eagles offered far more to this club than Lennon ever will.

One of the key signings that turned Cotterball into dare to dream

At PL level neither of them offered very much at all.

Eagles was one of 3 or 4 players who looked Premier League standard that season

And it's my opinion that he wasn't Premier League standard.

His best football for us was actually the following season in the Championship under Brian Laws.

He was fantastic, exciting to watch, always looked dangerous , and blessed with guile ad trickery. I loved watching him. A cut above.

His performance at Sheffield United in the promotion season was a class above anyone else on the pitch.

Eagles was one of those players that falls into the “too good for the Championship, but not quite Premier League level”

I remember him being excellent away at West Ham in the Premier League. Another 5 minutes and we might have managed a draw despite the awful first half. Can't remember any other stand out performances though in the top flight though as you say

Always had a lot of time for him. One of those players that took the game to the opposition. Remember him tearing us apart, when he played for Wednesday, one New Year’s day. Those were grim days indeed.
