Belgian GP
Conflict with the clarets tomorrow... Sorry lads I'll be flicking on and off but a wet Spa has to take priority this weekend!
Wet F3 this morning, wet qually now, 80% wet race tomorrow.
Gonna be a blinder.
Good opportunity for Red Bull this weekend, also some good opportunities for the midfield.

Spa is always a stunning spectacle, but Burnley first! Enjoy the race!

Re: Belgian GP
must admit it will be F! for me tomorrow - these conditions mean it will be a blinder - and I have had my fill of Red Bull player on Channel four that poses as highlights
Re: Belgian GP
My one and only time at a Grand Prix was Spa 2012. Watched Jenson Button win and Michael Schumacher drive. It was a brilliant weekend. Burnley games always take priority though.

Re: Belgian GP
Wet races always add an element of unpredictability, so it should be a good one tomorrow.

Re: Belgian GP
part of my decision is the two times I put last weeks game on they scored within 20 seconds when I had just read we were doing well - so this week I thought I would take one for the teamChester Perry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 2:39 pmmust admit it will be F! for me tomorrow - these conditions mean it will be a blinder - and I have had my fill of Red Bull player on Channel four that poses as highlights

Vettel angry and red flag didn't come before the Norris crash, both Vettel and Norris commented on the water on the track but it didn't stop Norris going for it.

Re: Belgian GP
Strong chance this race won't take place today, heavy rain continuing to fall at Spa.
It may even get put back to Monday, but they're trying their best to get it up and running today, however the weather certainly isn't playing ball.

Re: Belgian GP
It'll be classified now
Thats the only reason they've done it - presumably so they don't have to issue refunds

Disgrace on behalf of F1. Should have just delayed it until tomorrow.tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 5:39 pmIt'll be classified now

Re: Belgian GP
never mind the takedown move and re-erect of all the team paraphernalia in Zandervort for next week - the bigger issue is the availability of the marshals the majority of whom are volunteers and in Europe tomorrow is a workday not a public holiday

Re: Belgian GP
What a farce to get a result....should just have all f**ked off home around 3 pm and called it a no result.
Re: Belgian GP
The only reason it was done was to give Verstaapen the points and make the championship closer to keep the interest. Red Bull will be delighted and even more so if they win the title by a couple of points.tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 5:39 pmIt'll be classified now

I was camping 2 years ago and it was glorious weather. Whilst watching on Sunday I did fear for those that were camping at the bottom of the hill!Burnleyareback2 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 10:28 pmGot there Friday evening and just got home- it rained non-stop.

Re: Belgian GP
We got there about 9pm Friday. The tractor was dragging cars into the field at that stage… the situation had got worse over the next 48hrs.

Re: Belgian GP
That’s a fair point, but surely a somewhat disrupted schedule for the next race would be better than this farcical situation? I’m sure they could rally round and get stewards from somewhere, even if you had to fly them in - get on to one of the many marshals associations?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sun Aug 29, 2021 7:46 pmnever mind the takedown move and re-erect of all the team paraphernalia in Zandervort for next week - the bigger issue is the availability of the marshals the majority of whom are volunteers and in Europe tomorrow is a workday not a public holiday
Overall, all very poor - if it couldn’t be held safely they should have cancelled it & given fans their money back. As it stands, folk like burnleyareback2 are out of pocket and we have a corrupted championship!
