Free Agents

Post by Browntuba » Thu Sep 02, 2021 5:59 pm

I’m not suggesting any of these players as potential signings as free agents. I was curious to see after the transfer window had closed which players were still without a club.
Some interesting names on the list. Some players who not so long ago went for large fees, some familiar names from windows gone by whom we were possibly linked with then went elsewhere, players who signed for relegation rivals of the past and a couple of ex Clarets. Interesting how quickly time passes and a player’s career fades. (Hopefully the link works)

You'll be pleased to know the link works, crikey! there's plenty of big names on that list isn't there.

Josh Sims was one who caught my eye, released by Southampton in the summer, still only 24, and he bagged tons of goals in PL2, so if we were to take a punt on anyone he'd be high on my in tray as a free agent.

N'Koulou is a blast from the past, turned into one of the best defenders in the world in Football Manager '15!

They're free agents for a reason. Let it go.

I quite like the look of the Brazilian Bismarck, might add some firepower to the team but goes down a bit easily.

Jacob Butterfield caught my eye, not as a signing I might add. 31 years old. Thought he would be older than that. Played in the Championship for a while and then ends up going to Australia.

Few players on there who I thought were way older. Bony. Wisdom. Leadbitter.

A few on there I’d be tempted on a free with. Sims as mentioned above fairly surprised he’s not got a club. Not saying he’s at our level.

Counted three ex clarets and several once linked.

There's a reason he's been shipped out.

Freddie saw his contract out at Djurgarden in order to sign for a Chinese team. Not sure what happened to that.

Oscar Romero was **** hot for Racing a few years ago, again, went off to China.

I hope they earn enough money to counter balance the down turn in their careers.

Bismarck was the first of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Named after Chancellor Otto von Bismarck
