Interesting that this article describes Cornet as a winger, not a full back. More evidence, if any was needed, that he was played out of position for Lyon.

Good news if, as indicated, the withdrawal is to avoid him having to do a "red list" two-week quarantine when he gets to England

Sounds like he, along with Premier League players, have withdrawn from today's team to avoid having to travel to Mozambique, but they should play their next game after the weekend before returning to UK.
